LegoDnD: I wish that one murder-cop knew the difference between a gun on one hip and a taser on the other.
Granted, the gun and taser is combined into a taser gun on both hips. Now you get shocked before you eat lead.

I wish we could have the groovy night sky from the Shivering Isles [Oblivion] here.
Granted, Earth is tele-ported to the goldie-locks zone of a system that would show all the same constellations, but this puts us in direct collision-course with the Great Attractor and we all die of radiation poisoning within a few years, fallowed by Earth falling into the biggest black hole in the known Universe.

I wish to have Lego-detecting powers so that I could innately know the exact spot they're hidden on the ground within a 5-mile radius.

The easiest way for me to grant this wish is to remove lego from existence: You know for certain there is no lego hidden on the ground in a 5 mile radius for the rest of your life.

To make it seem as though I've altered your sensory perception I also turn your nose bright blue.

I wish that the click of my fingers would materialise a 2-foot-long intelligent winged octopus, capable of flight in earth's atmosphere, which will understand me and follow my intructions and do my bidding.

JoeSapphire: I wish that the click of my fingers would materialise a 2-foot-long intelligent winged octopus, capable of flight in earth's atmosphere, which will understand me and follow my intructions and do my bidding.
Granted: You can now materialize said octopus if you click your fingers. Unfortunately, you have lost the ability to click your fingers, so you can't actually do that.

I wish to have all the 8th and 9th level spells from Dark Sun: Wake of the Ravager in real life.

(In DS: WotR, there are 8th and 9th level spells that require a cheat to get, and which are in various states of implementation. For example, Meteor Swarm is fully functional, Tome Stop partially works (you get infinite turns, but don't regain your movement between then, making a softlock possible), and Prismatic Sphere causes the game to crash.)
Granted. But they all come with DRM, therefore you have to have access to the internet with whatever means possible in order to cast those spells.

I wish for the wish of the person after me to be insusceptible to corruption birthed by whatever malintent the person after them may have.
Granted, but the resulting wish might have issues.

I wish for this wish (the one in post 4809 in this topic) to be corrupted.
The contradictions between these two wishes summons the genie councel which declares the entire thread closed to prevent further corruption. Since this isn't actually happening, both wishes are granted both with and without corruption.

I wish my arthritis disappeared without any other affliction replacing it.
Granted. All the affected areas have been removed.

I wish GOG was great again.
Granted, but corporate loyalists of EA, Epic, and Ubisoft accuse us of being all flavors of bigoted and campaign to have the entire site shut down. Our Chinese overlords get wind of this and take the advantage to buy out CDPR and GOG completely and mandate that loot-boxes be patched into every single game.

I wish China was never taken over by Mao.
Granted, Japan won the Pacific war and incorporated all of China into its Co-Prosperity sphere, so Mao never took power.

I wish that all the incels would find happiness.
Granted. The Taliban take over the world and all women are now uneducated sex slaves.

I wish religion could finally be relegated to history.
Granted.

However, non-religious conspiracy theories start spreading more, and then there's another pandemic, much worse than the current one, aggrevated in part because of people intentionally doing things to spread the disease, as a result of such theories. The result is not pretty.

I wish that everyone who is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine, and who would not have any medical reason to not get the vaccine, would get the vaccine.
Granted, but the conspiracy theories actually turn out to be true, Bill Gates and other evil oligarchs are using the vaccines for massive depopulation, because they think the earth is overpopulated. 2 billion drop dead from the vaccines after two years. And you could have known that "philanthropic" oligarchs aren't trustworthy, if you had played Deus Ex.

I wish for the Gog forum to become refurbished and made into a wonderful experience for users, the perfect home for a great gaming community.
Granted, but because of all the toxic conversations that have happened over the years, GOG decides to take away the ability to post.

I wish for there to be a new GPU released, more powerful than existing consumer GPUs, with open source Linux drivers (as well as suitable Windows drivers), and in abundant supply (so everyone who wants one will get one), for a price less than $50.
Granted, but this leads to an uprising by fundamentalist retro gamers who think there shouldn't be graphics more advanced than was possible on the C 64. The resulting gamer wars kill hundreds of thousands and discredit gaming in the eyes of the public.

I wish for Steam customers to see the light and understand that DRM shouldn't be supported.
