Breja: Seems a bit strange though. I mean, is it really a title with enough of a following to warrant a remake? Maybe I was just always out of the loop on it, but I never even heard about it before picking it up as a freebie here, and it's not like I've seen it mentioned... pretty much ever by anyone since. This thread is probably the most attention it got in the last 25 years :D
Title probably not but it's Revolution Software and revisiting their old IP's is all they do for years now. I would rather see remake of this than 4K remaster of Broken Sword. I believe Charles Cecil also speaks fondly of it in the audio commentary to Beyond the Steel Sky, and they included easter eggs from LotT in the game, so who knows. At least they remember.
I never heard of it before GOG either, but I found it weirdly enjoyable despite the technical issues, which is not something I can say often about games that old. I could even forgive this blatant clickbait of a title. The whole mechanic of puzzle solving through creating sequences of commands to achieve some goal was quite fun and refreshing. I don't recall anything like that from other games. Actually, now when I think about it, the hacking minigame in Beyond a Steel Sky is vaguely similar. They could use it as a template. I could totally see a potential in full blown remake of LotT in the same vein. Probably too expensive to happen though.
