Yep, 600 bucks to get the VR set (for info, the dev kit only costed around 300$)

So, the dumb question: will you get one at this price?
I backed the kickstarter. :D
Nope, just seems more like on of those hipster toys that sound nice in theory, but will hardly have any real practical / game-enhancing use.

I'd rather use the money to upgrade my PC or buy actual games... well, if I had the spare money to begin with :|

Congrats! You get it for $599!
Nope.

End of this year, China going to mass produce this type of stuff , their price will be less than half of that what they are offering on oculus.

Google or Samsung going to beat this market probably in 1-2 year.
I'm gonna wait for a steamsale.

I wish! I need about $800 of upgrades to make best use of it. XD

So just sell it and use the money to get upgrades! Oh wait...

Neither at this, or any other price. I think the whole thing is silly and can't wait for it to blow over.

This, seriously. Remember when motion control was "the future of gaming"?

That's something I haven't thought of. With all the VR and other stuff coming around, upgrades are one thing, but what about power. How the hell is one city going to maintain 50,000 people on these things at one time? :P
That's like a $600 bullet to the brainpan for VR.

Expect lag and unexpected system reboots.
Hmm, $600 to get dizzy, I can do that one for free.
Nope, I'll wait as usual for 1\3 of the price, lots of reviews and a good rate of adoption.
