What franchise and game genre would you like to see a quirky standalone sequel (ex Far Cry 3 & Far Cry Blood Dragon)?

I will start:
Game: Cyberpunk 2077
Genre: Farming Sim + Tower Defense elements

You are a wealthy Night City restauranteur for high-end clientel. You have to contract, manage, and defend sharecroppers on the outskirts of Night City. Hire, arm and defend your contractors. Build, fortify and harvest the crops that you sell for a 1000x return on investment.

Not really a sequel, but more a genre changing remake (an idea I've had for a while):

Game: SaGa 1 (Final Fantasy Legend 1)
Genre: 2D Platformer

This is a side-scrolling re-telling of the original SaGa. You play through different levels, including versions of al the original dungeons (including one where you get to ride a motercycle into a nuclear power plant), as well as climbing the tower, with, of course, some vertical platforming. You can pick up weapons, but the catch is that you can only carry one at a timel if you pick up a new weapon, you lose the old one you were using. One of those weapons, a chain saw, has a rather quirky property; it only works on bosses. Hit a normal enemy with the saw and it won't do anything, but if you can make it to a boss, the saw will kill it in one hit. (That saw can also be useful in the level where you're being chased by Su-Zaku; the saw will make this enemy disappear for a bit, but will be useless in the underground parts of the level.)
I would like an RPG set in the Stellaris universe where you can travel through many planets in an open-world galaxy. Something a little more classic-RPG than the VR roguelite they announced. The storylines in the main game are unusually deep for a strategy game and I would love a new adventure with even more focus on storytelling.

And, going the other way around, The Witcher universe has enough factions, races, scenarios, weapons and powers to make a very engaging strategy game.
never mind

Another one:

Game: The Elder Scrolls (series)
Genre: 2D RPG (probably isomentric, even though I prefer overhead view)

As you may know, the Fallout games had a drastic change in genre once Behesda bought the series and released Fallout 3, resulting in a Fallout game that plays more like Elder Scrolls.

What I am proposing is the opposite, an Elder Scrolls game that plays more like classic Fallout. It would, of course, have the setting and many of the features found in TES games (things like spellmaking, which I think would be quite interesting in a turn-based context, as will as the TES growth system).
Another one:

Game: Desert Bus
Genre: Puzzle

Your task is to clear a path to allow the bus to get to its destination. The puzzles are all easy, and in fact may be a lot of the same puzzle(s) repeated, but there is a time constraint: If you take too long, the bus will hit something in the path, and have to be towed back to the start in real time, at which point all of the puzzles reset. Also, there's no undo, so if you put things in an unwinnable position, you just have to wait for the bus to hit the obstacle and get towed back to the start, and then you need to redo all the previous puzzles to get back to where you were, then (hopefully) not make the same mistake.
Yakuza: The Nyan Nyan Cafe
Genre: Life Sim

You're the owner of the Nyan Nyan Cafe that shows up in Yakuza 6. It's your responsibility to care for all the cats that Kazuma Kiryu dropped off at your cafe by adopting them out to their forever homes so that you can take in more cats. You need to manage your business to make sure that you have enough money to take care of the cats in addition to paying your own personal bills (like food and rent.)
Here's one (Final Fantasy 6 SPOILERS):

Game: Final Fantasy 6-2
Genre: Simulation

The world is in ruins, though the villain responsible for the world's destruction has been defeated. Your task, now, is to rebuild. The game plays something like SimCity, except that it's in a post-apocalyptic setting that's no longer in danger.

Game: Dark Sun: Restoration of the World
Genre: Simulation

Another idea would be to have a D&D-based game with a similar concept, using the Dark Sun setting. Your task isn't survival, as the setting is usually used, but rather the restoration of the world.
Game: Unreal Tournament
Genre: Sports/FPS

But it would be focused more on the team management/sports aspect instead of just shooty shooty. You could still play in the matches yourself, but you'd also get the option to simulate the matches, go through the seasons, trade players etc. Akin to something like NHL 2002 Career mode. UT 2003 and 2004 had hints of that, but I would like to see a game with those aspects greatly expanded.
Strategic Command: War of the Worlds

Global conquest and warfare in an alternate 19th century, with advanced steampunk technology and machinery, prehistoric monsters and a lost civilization pouring from a recently discovered Hollow Earth setting, and a Martian invasion on top of it all.
Rather than wasting their time on Minecraft: Story Mode, we should have got Minesweeper: The Telltale Series
These are awesome ideas, guys!

I will add,

Game: Underrail
Genre: Dating Sim + Visual Novel

Underrail: Love, Longing, Lechery is a post-apocalyptic relationship sim where the player character arrives in Rail Crossing for the Mushroom Fest, a yearly festival intended to bring families and town militia members into their communities. There we meet horny officials, sweet waifs, addicts, etc. who are looking for companionship in the post-apocalypse.

As the game progresses, the player takes part in an intrigue plot where the future of the community hangs in the balance. A story about class, conviction and corruption unfolds as your suitors vie for your affection.

A pet Azuridae in the Digital Deluxe edition. Limited edition, hand-numbered, certified authentic Azuridae plushies and vynil figures available as a stretch goal.
Game: Desert Stair Quest (sequel? to Stair Quest)
Genre: Adventure, just like the classic Sierra adventures and the original Stair Quest

This game would be a sequel to the original Stair Quest. While the original Stair Quest had you climbing about a dozen different screens of stairs, this one has you climbing 500 identical screens of stairs in order to reach the end. There are 500 points to earn, and each screen gives you *1* of them.

(Worth noting that the title is also a reference to Desert Bus, an intentionally boring game that takes 8 hours to complete.)

Movie adaptation of Minesweeper, but Telltale game elements are there.

Ontopic:

Game: Star Wars: Republic Commando
Genre: What Clone Advisor 01 job is - operations overseer?

Creating objectives, issuing major orders, reacting critically to incoming information and forwarding it to four commandos, led by a squad leader with enough autonomy to give specific orders at certain points during missions (door breaching, terminal slicing, ordering focused fire) to perform difficult operations. Since the commandos are usually deployed in active warzones, but not on frontlines, the player could change mission priority or commandos would need to take a different route, based on players decision on the spot.

A sequel to Sid Meier's Pirates! (or similar, that's just the famous one)...

Except it's built as a "sports management" type game where you are a Pirate King (or one of the nations) building up your roster of captains and admirals that go out there and AI one another.

Compare sort of to "Majesty", the RTS where you don't have direct control of the units I guess. But not quite.
