Godlike freedom.

The Universim, a God-game where the success of your civilization depends on your planet management and anger management skills, is now available In Development, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Your people have fire! Soon, they'll start building settlements, cities, impressive machines that drain natural resources, and eventually perhaps space-faring vehicles that will enable them to leave their mess behind. Want to encourage or punish their behavior? Use your godly Power or Wrath to shift the weather in their favor, help cure diseases, and bring meteors down on their ignorant heads. Give them the tools to reach greatness or watch idly as they blow things up - that's the godly way.
Each planet provides a unique ecosystem, wildlife, and dangers. Each civilization is bursting with limitless potential and constant temptations of self-destruction. What path will your guys walk? And what will happen when they encounter the mysterious aliens flying overhead?

Pick up the Collector's Pack Vol.1 containing a Digital Art Book and Soundtrack from the Stone and Medieval Ages. Both the Pack and the base game are 10% off until September 4th, 6pm UTC.

It's finally here! A long time has passed since Kickstarter campaign and this thread. Thank you The Universim dev team for keeping your promises!

I know it's still quite a long way to full release (2-3 years), but we got it in playable state :-) Now I have to find out how Kickstarter backer can redeem the GOG key :)

DLC for an in-dev game... and the soundtrack is being parceled out over multiple DLC...

Actually, the Linux build is available on Steam.

GOG has "Linux" on their rotating banner, but not the store page. Have reached out to my GOG contact to clear it up.

SeduceMePlz: DLC for an in-dev game... and the soundtrack is being parceled out over multiple DLC...
To be fair it's purely optional DLC, it contains artbooks and soundtrack only. Crytivo clearly stated that the game won't have any ingame content DLC such as expansions etc - all of that is included in base price. It won't have microtransactions as well.

If you want to support the game and developers further, you may buy artbook/soundtrack DLC, but it won't affect your game whatsoever.

And to be fair, during Kickstarter campaign soundtrack as separate content was included in higher backer tiers only, it wasn't available within basic tier.
Sounds fun, like that Futurama episode.

But...

This. I can accept this paid soundtrack/artwork thing as a way to support the developers. But it's getting out of control.

I keep the game on my wishlist for now ^^
nice animaitons, smooth graphics, good effects but its 3d and a simulation, i like to dive into a game an be able to see progress fast, dont like spending hours waiting and watching while doing nothing ....

Anyway the system requierements are like wow... 6 to 8 cores :D recommended, boy oh boy ....
you need a small fortune to buy such expensive equipment, soon the minimum will be a i9 cause it seems developing good games on affordable system is imposible nowadays, but maybe everyone already has the latest i7 and i9 :D

I bought some soundtrack and art at steam that was optional with a game i bought the art was less than 3 euros so that was affordable , and yes the world is really going in the wrong direction in many ways.
Great, I was waiting when the Universim will have a clear price announced. Instabuy, even when it is inDev.

Last time a gam caught my attention like this one was Black&White :)

Nah, that's common and normal these days, not expensive at all, and downright cheap if you go AMD. 8-core Ryzen is $220. You can get more expensive ones, but that would satisfy the recommended requirements. 6-core is $170. Now you could complain if they said 32-core, those CPUs are some serious bucks, but 8-core isn't.
