Godlike freedom.

The Universim, a God-game where the success of your civilization depends on your planet management and anger management skills, is now available In Development, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Your people have fire! Soon, they'll start building settlements, cities, impressive machines that drain natural resources, and eventually perhaps space-faring vehicles that will enable them to leave their mess behind. Want to encourage or punish their behavior? Use your godly Power or Wrath to shift the weather in their favor, help cure diseases, and bring meteors down on their ignorant heads. Give them the tools to reach greatness or watch idly as they blow things up - that's the godly way.
Each planet provides a unique ecosystem, wildlife, and dangers. Each civilization is bursting with limitless potential and constant temptations of self-destruction. What path will your guys walk? And what will happen when they encounter the mysterious aliens flying overhead?

Pick up the Collector's Pack Vol.1 containing a Digital Art Book and Soundtrack from the Stone and Medieval Ages. Both the Pack and the base game are 10% off until September 4th, 6pm UTC.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.

gamesfreak64: nice animaitons, smooth graphics, good effects but its 3d and a simulation, i like to dive into a game an be able to see progress fast, dont like spending hours waiting and watching while doing nothing ....

Anyway the system requierements are like wow... 6 to 8 cores :D recommended, boy oh boy ....
you need a small fortune to buy such expensive equipment, soon the minimum will be a i9 cause it seems developing good games on affordable system is imposible nowadays, but maybe everyone already has the latest i7 and i9 :D
Optimizatiom costs money, as in programmer's time. AAA titles make sure to be playable in as many machines as possible, in their oen interest, if they do things well. In other cases, the developers skim on programming time sometimes, when more would have been most welcome--losing a part of the market, and more if there are too many bugs
Dear pro-exclusivity people,

you could have done everyone a favor not having been born in the first place, but since you're here, an assplanation:

Indie games and especially kickstarted games can't give away free soundtracks. Indies on a budget who have to pay a third-party musician for their work find that securing the full rights to the music is a waste of money that would be better spent improving the game, and kickstarter campaigns offering a soundtrack separately can squeeze more out of core backers.

In the Universim campaign, 25% of the core funds (the lower tiers) was paid specifically for these extras now offered as paid DLC. The campaign wasn't exactly ethical, with a content-complete game version costing a shocking $150, but less exclusivity is always better and an option to buy content separately is always welcome.
Looks neat! I'll eagerly wait for it to leave early access!
Just to let you know...no Linux build on GOG (I bought the game).
I contacted GOG but no answer until now.
Bump!
SOLVED!

I think I've played a demo of this one and it was confusing and not much fun. Most demos have convinced me in the past but this one was just not my deal...

Swedrami: 1.0 Full Release Gameplay Trailer

For years, I have been hoping that this game would eventually have a Linux version on GOG. However, its long development duration and relatively-poor reception has led to diminished interest.

Perhaps, the supposed 'full' (version 1.0) release will be a pleasant surprise?

I'm still interested in seeing how it releases... but (and I say this as an original KS backer of it a lifetime ago) talk about scope creep! They went from a game to a production company, from a targeted scale, to a "let's do everything" scale... We'll see.
