fulano5321: I got a reply from support, it basically said "You're supposed to be getting them, there's no way to turn them off because they aren't marketing e-mails, but I've forwarded your feedback to the relevant people."
I certainly feel like promoting a new software release is marketing. Especially if it's a software I don't use.
