tinyE: and what is that link she gave spudius?
avatar
HereForTheBeer: It's the same as the first link from the opening post, showing the conversation in question. Presumably the last of many support tickets?
got it, and if I read it correctly, looks like he/she spammed them. :P
Of course it's a matter of "where there's smoke there's fire" which sometimes can prove false, but I'm still having trouble swallowing a lot of this.
"You've sent Steam Support and Valve hundreds of help requests and emails regarding this ban."

hundreds... really ?

KabyLake: You don't know whole situation unfortunatelly. They gave me Community Ban for vulnerability that I've found.
You were banned for exploiting it, not for finding it.
One more question, and sorry if I missed this.

The account deletion came from spam reports over a ban. But what was the original ban for? And no, I'm not going back to that link and reading all that crap. :P
avatar
Pheace: No need to presume:

You've sent Steam Support and Valve hundreds of help requests and emails regarding this ban. It's been reviewed and discussed dozens of times by Steam developers and support agents and managers. The results of these reviews of your ban have been communicated to you. Frankly, we're done spending any time thinking about it, and any emails that you send can serve nothing other than directly wasting the time of Valve employees, which is why we're instructing you to stop.

Pheace:
Guys. I did not spammed them. Just watch the video which included in that help request. There is only two help requests. No "hundreds".

Your ban was deliberately issued for your repeated abuse of Steam mechanics. It was originally issued and then extended by a Steam developer, and they're confident that, based on your actions leading up to and including those that triggered them to ban you that time, a permanent ban was warranted. A large number of other Steam developers and Steam Support staff that have reviewed this ban with us unanimously agree.

"Steam Mechanics"

The intrigue grows.
And thank you Pheace. I realize you have better things to do than walk me through this. :D

No worries, it was interesting to see what someone had to do to *actually* get themselves fully banned.

Think this link should work too, better than that those horrible "what's behind this door?" links.

My account is not allowed to use bb-codes here and even url-addresses. I'm sorry for the untrusted url-shortener.

Here are evidently the nine most common.
Looks like a typical day in here. :P

Waiddaminute! Are you the creator of the Team Fortress 2 "Lagger Bot"?!? And/or the cat-bot?

From what I can tell those lead to a community ban, not an outright account ban. The last is extremely rare, and from the looks of it, the OP worked hard to get it, ignoring various 'last warnings' to do it.

in any case i think valve shouldnt have stripped you of your bought games/apps
permanent ban should maybe lead to getting some value back at least .. but 100% confiscation is not right imho, even if ban was warranted

thats why i like 100% drm free ;)

It's extremely rare and in this case seems to have been used as a last resort after a community ban and at least one temporary deactivation. Then he was issued several last warnings that he needed to stop spamming support about this issue that, as far as they were concerned, had been clear and final on, and yet he came back again and again to it.

Apparently PUBG is that important.

No :P And I did not heard anything about it...

It was forum related issue. Any Steam Moderator was able to ban any Steam User even if the user did not posted anything on the Discussions.

I tried to pay Valve's attention to this by banning very small amount of the users from the games community hubs (more than half of them were my friends previously), but I've got six-months Community Ban instead of fixing the issue.

I've banned very small amount of users <10 (all of them were russians), because their security representatives are ignored this exploit for months.

I got only six-months Communty Ban for this behavior.

Then I ran "self-locking tool" for the localization testing purposes (after one month of the temporarly restrictions of my account) and this tool removed my temporally Community Ban. I've send an issue to the Russian localization administrator Alex Sudbinin to alexs@valvesoftware.com in 2017 previously. I'm a Steam Community translator after all steamcommunity.com/id/Kaby/badges/9 . But a member of steam support called "Jack" have noticed it and then my account was permanently banned for "circumventing" temporally Community Ban.
