Whether you're a new survivor or an old-time veteran, right now is the best time to jump into the Dust Bowl. Why's that, you ask? Well, we have a new update for you, and it's a BIG one!

This update features:

Turret Repair

• Players can now repair and restore destroyed turrets to their previous level in one go.

User Interface Enhancements

• Added a Clear button to the Key Bindings window to empty hotkeys.
• Added icons for all keyboard control buttons.
• Hotkey icons are now displayed below the squad list to switch members quickly.
• Camera rotation option hotkeys can now be assigned with the keyboard.
• Added a grid to the map for easy orientation.

Balance, Gameplay, and QOL

• Survivors now equip melee weapons when they run out of ammo in any formation.
• Bosses consistently turn to the character when attacking or taking a hit.
• Almost completely removed self-healing from regular enemies.
• Boss self-healing speed reduced by two times.
• Increased health regeneration for some dogs.
• Guards won't leave the team outside settlement boundaries.
• Melee weapons, explosions, and fire now do damage to lying units.
• Addressed a missing button issue when breaking items in the workshop. Workshop item-breaking button is now placed at the bottom of the window and assigned a designated hotkey.
• Optimized unit loading for reduced delays during long-distance runs.

Visual Quality Improvements

• Removed the power bar from the "Rambo" bow.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a control bug that appeared after changing characters in the team window.
• Fixed the camera behavior on the first launch and when using a gamepad.

• An ELO ranking system has been added for MP games.
• This is optional and challenges can be set as ranked or unranked.
• A green ranked game symbol appears in the MP lobby for ranked games.

• On-going ranked challenges show both players’ rankings (at the time that the challenge was accepted) in the tooltip in the “My Games” tabs. These are the values that will determine the adjustment to the players ELO rankings at the end of the game.

• Mousing over the class name in the character sheet of Bishops will also display the character's domain names.
• In the module Hearkenwold, the Mysticism Cleric Domain will correctly grant its bonus to the spells Bless and Bane.
• When mousing over both a character and an activable object that can be clicked, the game will now focus on the object.
• In the Creature Editor and Template Editor, clicking the button labelled 'Recalculate Slots' will now remove all of the spell slots of the character if the character has the class Warrior, Aristocrat or Commoner.
• In the Module Editor, in the 'Equipped Items' page of the Creature Editor, the tooltip information will now be correctly updated when you change the torso (armour) item or one of the weapons of the creature. Also fixed the tooltips when switching the position of two items.

This release does not yet have fixes for two Linux issues, but we have workarounds for two of them:
• If you are crashing on startup, players have reported that starting Steam, disabling the internet, then loading the game bypasses the issue. Internet can be reenabled afterwards.
• If you are crashing while hosting a multiplayer game on Ubuntu 20.04, switching to Cross Platform multiplayer appears to resolve the issue. It is also not present on Ubuntu 22.04.

Players have also reported issues with certain event leaders missing traits and envoys convincing themselves they're real people, these will be fixed in 3.10.3.

Outliner Customization
In 3.10.2, we've added the ability to fully customize your Outliner tabs. In your Outliner Options, there is now a toggle for Custom Outliner Tab, which will let you select any elements you wish to show on that particular tab. This should allow you to set up your tabs however you desire, including putting everything on a single tab or duplicating the same information across different tabs if you wish. (For example, if you want a "Peace" and "War" tab, with different information or sorting.)

So What's Next?
We're continuing to focus on stability and bugfixing for the next few weeks.

3.10.3 is planned for next week, and we plan on continuing the pattern of releasing the build early as an Open Beta while it's undergoing certification.

3.10.4 is expected the week after that, and will include translated localization for the various changes made in the first three patches. (As well as further bugfixing as needed.)

And After That?
The 3.11 "Eridanus" update in 2024Q1 will focus on stability, AI, and balance.

We're planning on running a balance related Open Beta over the holidays to collect feedback regarding some experiments around Research.

Improvements

Save system

• Thank you for all your feedback about the game's save system. We have made a small improvement for now, but we plan to make more fundamental changes to this system in the near future as a part of a larger patch.
Since this hotfix, a separate backup of your save is made before every new checkpoint. This will allow you to manually overwrite your chosen slot save in case you meet any hardlock or want to go back to the exact moment of your playthrough.

All your saves can be found in this folder:
C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\TheInvincible\Saved\SaveGames

• More astronauts are now able to take part in the mission on Regis III as we have optimized the game for older graphics cards with 2GB or 3GB RAM. In Full HD on High and Epic settings, the game should work at around 25-30 FPS.

• the possibility of getting blocked by an invisible wall on the 4th point looking for Gorsky and on the Convoy force field area,
• some cases with missing rover interactions,
• a possibility to avoid climbing interaction and blocking the game ending on the cliff,
• a double hint for a stuck vehicle in the Convoy area,
• a possibility to get stuck next to the landed probe in the Base area,
• general problems with hiding the equipment or map.

Issue reporting

From now on, when encountering any issues, you can also send us additional telemetric data from the game level, which will significantly speed up the debugging process. Just press CTRL+C during the game, open a Notepad, press CTRL+V and save the file, and include this as an attachment in the support form. Please, also attach your save files and a DxDiag report:

HOTFIX 1.0.3 Spacecraft Repairs: ultrawide support, hardlocks & UI

We want to thank every astronaut who has submitted a bug report or shared their feedback with us, and all of the astroscientists that have already taken part in The Invincible’s cosmic adventure! Together with your help, we have improved the playing experience on Regis III. Here is the list of changes coming with hotfix 1.0.3.

In Full HD on High and Epic settings, the game should work at around 25-30 FPS. If you have AMD R7 260x (2GB) or Nvidia GTX 760 (2GB), you can enjoy the cosmic adventure to the fullest now.

Improvements:

We have heard loud and clear the voice of our supporters who would enjoy playing The Invincible on ultrawide resolutions, so we added the ultra widescreen support to the game. Enjoy!

Fixed various hardlocks and softlocks reported by players (old saves should also work properly in these cases):
(a) the possibility of getting stuck before reaching 4th Gorsky's point in the objective ‘Find Dr. Gorsky’,
(b) the incorrect checkpoint save on the 4th point, which spawned the player in the wrong place after loading,
