But the problem is not that unions tell a business owner that he can't reject black person that is qualified for a job on the basis of skin color. That is what like right anti-discrimination policy looks like. But today business owners are
told to have certain number (quota) of black people, women and LGBT people working for them, regardless if they can find qualified candidates. And that's how anti-discrimination policy turns into discrimination.
Dryspace: Well, yes. There's no point in arguing semantics. Leftists have indeed decided they have the right to institute forced discrimination based on sex, race, and whatever else. The modern leftist is--according to his own definition of the words--a racist and sexist.
But what do you do? Everything comes down to honesty. Everything. It doesn't matter how intelligent one is; if one is not honest, he can not be rational, as he is free to deny any truth for any reason.
Spewing half-truths doesn't set you apart from the herd, tho.
The Democrats and Republicans are both liberal when it comes to finance and foreign policy: neo-liberalism up until recently, which has now morphed into neo-conservatism. Good cop and bad cop, both doing their best to whip their constituencies into frothy states of fear and loathing of each other -- and both are equally deserving.
Everyone is a leftist on their way up, and a conservative once they get there. Because politics is the art of war. And "winning" is all that matters.
