Just saw Star Wars in 3D IMAX and loved it. Didn't know anything plot-wise beforehand. Won't post anything else because I don't want to giveaway spoilers.

I think J.J Abrams (the director) really knows what's he's doing.
I saw the movie today as i didnt want to wait til next week... and risk seeing spoilers over weekend. Very good movie. I did notice the few points which concerned a small number of people (and also left a few things unanswered...).

I might see it on imax next week... but imax is a bit expensive here ($35 AUD for adult seats).

I was wrong. It was great. Really enjoyed it.
After scanning through some youtube videos about the movie, I just have to say...

Star Wars fans are all either 12 years old or 38 year old man-children suffering from various forms of development disorders. And regardless of age, they all lack self-awareness, humor, insight, or basic critical thinking abilities. I can't believe I counted myself among their number at one point. They're approaching Trekkie level of goofy awkwardness.

Oh, Star Wars. What hath offered thine soul to sacrifice thy great prestige? Why has thou fallen from thy lofty place? Hark hark.

Go back to jerktown Spoling anything about that movie because you were disappointed and now enjoy making other people upset is a major dick move. Why don`t you take your "I didn`t go into detail about XY`s death" attitude & your shitty ego and stick it where the sun does not shine?
Also you should try to stick your head into your heated oven. I suppose you will in general benefit from it.

I stand by what I said.

I'm going to cut his dick off and feed it to my donkeys.

This goes beyond this silly movie. Now it simply needs to be done for the sake of humanity.

Dick off. Donkeys eat.

Do you really want to do that to your poor donkeys?
God knows what they might catch from that...

That's the least of my worries. Getting into Mexico is going to be the challenge. They tend not to let anyone in down there who doesn't have a criminal record.

I have to say the theater experience was very enjoyable. I don't remember laughing and cheering so much at a movie in years. Definitely pays tribute to the first films in the 70s and 80s. :)

I saw the original Star Wars in the theater when I was 7 years old. (Yes you can guess my age.) My parents dropped my brother and I off at the theater while they went shopping. It was a great thing to see such special effects for the time on the big screen. The movie has a lot of good memories for me.

That was back in a time when you could leave a 7-year old alone and not fear some sociopath would come along and take them away for reasons unknown. Fast forward, you can't even leave a child alone in a store with security guards to save their lives; fast forward further, you can't trust security guards.

If you ask me, the Star Wars fans have had to grow up with all the others' around them suffering various forms of development and social disorders. For one to prey on those lacking humor, insight or basic critical thinking abilities is probably one who would steal a 7-year old child if not being closely monitored.
It was souless and devoid of creativity. SW fanboys will jerk off themselfs to death while the rest of us will forget about this movie before the weekend ends.

I completely agree. There was nothing new in this movie that we already have not seen. No innovation or creativity. Nothing mind-blowing here.

Watching this movie is like playing just another call of duty game. Same old stuff. Just different characters and new story.

Fortunately I did not have to spend any money on this junk, it was my friend's treat.

All the people going crazy are just fan boys and nostalgia lovers.
