Lionel212008: I would highly recommend erased (time travel-horror), the voice of silence (romantic film), Drifters (short samurai anime series), and konosuba (stuck in a video-game comedy where the main character can steal a female character's underwear).

If you like gothic horror then do check out Shiki. It may seem bright and colorful at first but it completely catches you off guard.

gog2002x: Konosuba is indeed a funny show and I think there's a season 2 coming out soon.
Suppose you meant season 3. I think the 1997 berserk also needs all the love it can get. Then there is hellsing ultimate. Claymore is pretty good as well.

My personal favourite right now is Shiki. Another anime that deserves a mention, if you are into pro wrestling, is tiger mask w.

Did not browse five pages of suggestions, so I jsut throw in:

Excel Saga if you are in for something crazy and mind boggling
S-CRY-ed
Ranma 1/2
Blue Seed
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Sword Art Online (especially if you are into MMORPGs and VR XD)
Hellsing
Shaman King (At least I liked it)
Witch Hunter Robin (Great atmopshere if you are into something darker)
.Hack//Sign (again: Especially if you are into MMORPGs/VR)
Code Geass
Deathnote
Lost Universe (also said to be Slayers in Space)
Record of Lodoss War
3X3 Eyes
El Hazard
Ghost in the Shell
Bastard!
Akira
Silent Möbius

Ok, that's quite a list, some stuff is a bit older, but so am I ;) It should spread out from funny/crazy (Ranma, Excel Saga) to action to dark stuff, so it should cover something for everyone. :) I hope it helps and also gives others some ideas of what they perhaps missed out. :)

Yea likely season 3 now that I think about it. Those last two shows I watched also.

Shiki was good but disturbing to me.

Tiger Mask was an odd anime with an odd MC but was fun to watch.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Sorry if someone already mentioned it but it's my favorite c:
Attack on Titan.

MegisED: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Though it may be difficult to find a lot of good anime after watching that.
This set the bar high... Baccano!, Gurren Lagann, Trigun, Attack on Titan, Cowboy Bebop, Castlevania, Gungrave, Soul eater, Parasyte, Bleach, Naruto and Shippuuden, Gun X Sword, Fate/Zero, Death Note, Fairy Tale, Psycho-Pass, Black Clover, Hellsing, Canaan, My Hero Academia, Overlord, Dragon ball Z, The Saga of Tanya the Evil, NEON GENESIS EVANGELION..

and lastly The Ancient Magus' Bride <3

Some picks I haven't seen mentioned.

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. It turns out super powers can be a real hassle. Saiki Kusuo is a teen with psychic abilities, but all he wants is to be left alone. I recommend watching this show 5 minutes at a time, since each episode consists of multiple shorts put into 20 minute episodes.

Sherlock Hound This series was one of the few shows made by Hayao Miyazaki, and contains some of the stories from the Sherlock Holmes books.

Dragon Pilot A slice of life drama featuring pilots who must train to fly dragons from the inside. As in, have the dragons eat them.

Samurai Pizza Cats When this show made it to the West, scripts were incomplete or missing and translations were almost non-existent. The writers decided to ad-lib every scene instead, resulting in a high energy comedy show that improves on the source material in almost every way.

Rokka no Yuusha (Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers). Great anime that messes up with your mind. Worth watching without a doubt BUT people have been waiting for season 2 since 2015...
Erased, the Town Without Me
Black Lagoon
Gundam: Iron Blood Orphans
Sword Art: Online

*Not anime but worthy mention*
Midnight Gospel

Apologies if any have been mentioned. These are some of my favorites.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Steins;Gate
Fate/Zero
Fate/Stay Night
Mobile Suit Gundam: Unicorn
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin
Haikyuu!!
Gleipnir
Arguably hasnt been much recently which is good

Gleipnir (it sounded weird from comments before i watched it...it really isnt.its awesome though)
Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba)
ReLife
Parasyte (just watched it again... appreciate second time around)
The two recent yamato/starblazer's season 1 and 2 reboots (i wonder if 3rd season will get fixed)
My Teen Romantic Comedy (this one grew on me second time around...its very wordy but also quite funny if you like the humor)
One Punch Man (season 1 > season 2)

For me many series which have a good overarching story that holds my interest :)

FWIW manga wise -- everyone should read both light novel and read manga for Solo Levelling... artwork is awesome and story is engaging (shame its already been completed....
Fate Zero is not a bad recommendation if you're into depressing yet action-centric stories.
