Besides you are doing a good job there is something I find frustrating. Why downloading is too slow and why can't I download a single archive at once or whole game content with single task?
I have about 40 Mbps connection but D
Game download is about 600kbps to 1mbps. Is it possible to validate a game downloaded from torrent?

Providers often label the line speed in mb/s (megabits per second) while browsers usually show MB/s (megabytes per second) which is obviously very different from mb/s.

I'm downloading at my full line speed right now (which is 150 mb/s which amounts to about 18 MB/s). No problems on GOG's side at the moment from my point of view.

As Geralt noted: because it looks faster (it gives a bigger raw number).
Your 40 mb/s line is 5 MB/s, and you rarely get top speeds on any line connection. So you may expect better than 1 MB/s, but there could be various factors involved (line throttling due to high load, time of day throttling by your ISP, GOG's server may have heavy traffic, various other factors).

My line is the same speed as Geralt's and I generally see around 9 to 10 MB/s when DLing my GOG games. Rarely I'll get sustained speeds up around 15 MB/s. I've never seen it at a full 18.75

I think he's saying that he'd like to get games he already bought here through... unsanctioned sources, purely to avoid the slowness he's experiencing.

singhsahibg, it is technically possible to determine if any GOG installer you come across has been tampered with, but I seriously don't want to encourage that. A better idea would be to contact GOG's support about the matter. They employ a CDN company to provides hosts dotted around the world so that all their customers can download form a server reasonably near to them. If the download host in India is underperforming then GOG might like to know so that they can talk to their CDN about it.

Sorry, I live in the Third World UK state, where 1mbs is pretty good - I can have 6 downloads at that speed. /Sarcasm

The prefix lowercase letter "m" is "milli" - a thousandth. Lowercase letter "b" is bit(s), each bit being either on or off, 1 or 0.
The prefix uppercase letter "M" is "mega" - a million. Uppercase letter "B" is byte(s), nowadays most commonly defined as 8 bits (in the early days of computing there were machines that used 6 or 7 bits per byte).

A thousandth of a bit is quite a bit less than a million bytes, yes. Not that computers can handle anything less than a single bit.

I suppose you are using the browser's download function to download.
You can download an entire game at once by using either GOGDownloader or GOG Galaxy (the optional client).

So much this. When people claim they have a 100 MBps line, I know they're probably confused. I hate that internet companies do this intentionally to confuse their clientele. EVERY online site measures in MBps, but ALL the people supplying it measure in Mbps. The average user will think capitalization is optional, and that someone is throttling their speeds.

Just because you said so, when/if I decode to get a 1Gbps connection, I'll call it a 100MBps connection since that's roughly the same speed.

Also, my comment was more because of the lowercase "m" being used in a few posts. It's always fun when people talk about millibits.

While downloading from other website iget 20MBPS(MB/s). PS: I am a designer and a developer, so usually download and upload things. LOL, How and why would i download from GOG server a pirated game? I am facing this issue in gog downloader bro.
