Either way, for PS1/PS2/PS3 you'd need a fat PS3 and that's it. PS4 is currently the only PS without backwards compatability models.

Who says you need them all? PS2 can play PS1 games. Fat PS3 can play PS2/PS1 games if you need it.

But if you don't even have games on previous consoles you don't need them at all.

Besides, the original point only had to do with PS+ and the games you get on PS3/PS4/Vita as being comparable to bundles so again, it's getting pretty off-topic here.

I am kinda miffed at MS now (the ways they try to trick people to update to Windows 10), so:

Buy a PS4.

Since its become a Pay(for online)station, just no. Uncharted is not worth it.

Hearing recent news that more and more games from big studios (AAA games) are pushing micro transactions, i'm becoming more and more convinced to recommend saving your money and not getting either.

I bought the Xbone. It's not being used much, as it's pretty much only being used when a good exclusive releases. The exclusives are pretty great though, and that is the reason I bought it. Halo, Rare Replay, Forza, Gears of War, Fable, Quantum Break, and Scalebound. Backwards-compability is also releasing to the public next month, and hundreds of Xbox 360-games will allegedly become playable on Xbone.

Power-wise, the PS4 is definitely stronger. Most games typically run at 1920x1080 on the PS4, and 1600x900 on Xbone. I'm not sure what console runs games smoother. The Xbone may run some games slightly better because of the lower resolution, but I'm not really sure what console has the most stable framerates. According to Wikipedia, the PS4's GPU has 1152 stream processors, while the Xbone has 768.

I don't know if either of the consoles should be standing vertically. I see the Xbone has vents on the sides, but I don't know about the PS4. I have seen stands for setting the Xbone vertical, but I don't own one myself, so I can't comment on how well they work. I have not heard about the Xbone scratching discs. It's not using the disc drive a lot either, as games are run from the hard drive. It installs the game to the hard drive when you put the disc in, and you need to have the disc in to run the game. I think it works the same way on the PS4 as well.
