Actually, Axis of Awesome is pushing it a bit, not all the songs use the C G Am F progression. It's a cool vid nevertheless.
Evanescence? No... man, just no. On concert every second sound she makes is false. Typical band that seen live sounds like shit, imho.
well in their defense there are a lot of these patterns in pop music, I think they are well aware they are doing it because everyone is. There are patterns like this in every genre. Before the Beatles got huge and started the whole modern music scene not writing your own music wan't such a big deal.

I just can't seperate this song from the series anymore. They're tied together forever. The season 3 finale (to me) is the highlight of the whole series and All Along The Watchtower is a very important part of it.

Oh heh, yup that version definitely doesn't use anything near the C G Am F chord patterns in this thread, but it's very nice.
