Fenixp: As a senior member I reserve the right to use incorrect abbrevation GoG which I like and has been used around here for ages :-P

Lexor: It is like showing disrespect for "old" word, which is important part of the GOG name.
Such typing is like to be against everything what GOGers love.
I think you're reading too much into it :-) It just looks nicer that way. Besides, I don't love old games, I just love good games, so it even nicely reflects my attitude :-P
I'm having this problem too, and it's hell on trying to post in Mafia 9

keeveek: GoG looks waaaay more fancy than GOG

ps. site is looking pretty slow now...
I agree with both.

Back in the day of being a SysOp I was DìSÇHóRD, and it was as slow then as it seems to be now.

Took some time to save up for my USR HST, and longer to bring up a second node :-)

gOg, better?
Vagabond, if you're reading this you crazy bastard, you don't need to download 5000 copies of the game. Download it the once then copy paste it once it's on your desktop, dammit!

"fancier", "nicer"... I am to old for such things - let me leave "epeenism" for younger generations. Being at my age, if I am using / have something, it is normal for me that I am using also its proper name - just like the authors wanted.

Vitek: Whole evening I am getting those. Page is loading for some time (30-60 sec) then I get Gateway error. I have to try to open each thread and page several times before it opens. It is only happening on forums, rest of page is OK.
Do others have same problem or is it something on my side?
Got one a few minutes ago.

If we're going by what the authors wanted, you should be typing it as gog, like they do in the logo.

It told me it is 'maintenance' last night, and all morning it has been saying all these 504's...

Strange, the 'reply' box doesn't get them...

Whoa there, I was saying that I simpy like to say it that way. I'm sorry if any of my posts sounded like I'm trying to be arrogant, but I was just trying to not sound too serious. Of course I don't care about how long any of us have been around, I just used that argument because there's not really any counter-argument against it so we don't get precisely into this discussion, but now you're just overreacting. (reaction on epeenism and being apparently superior for age difference)

Besides, GoG team uses GoG as well, so ... Yeah, just like the authors wanted. Just let everyone use whatever they will, all right? I sure as heck won't comment on you using GOG, just let me use GoG and be done with it...

Unfortunately it was too hard to browse forum so I missed it, sorry. :-)

So it still persist? I rather left to game so I don't have to deal with it.

Logo (as every graphical representation) is quite different thing and has each own rules (still "o" is in the same letter case as both "g") . Another example: Intel - they have small "i" in logo but official firm name has big "I".

If you need example for GOG, you need to refer to typed / written forms (documents, announcements, press releases) and there is always GOG in them.

Did you have a bad day or something? All right, I'll just go ahead and be blunt about it: I don't care. Why on earth do you care? And why are you taking it so seriously? It's an abbrevation of name of a videogaming site, not nationality that has to be spelled right on a form! I've seen staff use the term 'GoG' many times, so they apparently don't care. Most of people around here don't care and just use whatever they find fitting. So why do you care?
504 still here... :(
