Navagon: Yeah canning it seems a bit extreme when it is supposedly complete. You think that, with the corporate politics involved, there's no chance of it seeing the light of day now?
Hard to tell. When the pedestrian streets of Akihabara (where the streets are closed to vehicular traffic on Sundays, National Holidays, etc.) were canceled due as a response to the Akihabara Massacre, it wasn't until January of this year that it was reinstated. Some 2 and a half years later. So it's highly likely that the game will either not get a release at all or will see a release in a year or twos time. I expect they'll just simply forget it even exists.
Unless of course, a significantly large enough number of prospective purchasers mount a campaign to get it released. At least that worked for getting a local release of Oblivion, so that *could* theoretically work.
Navagon: It seems like these plans have been delayed by the government in the hope that people will conserve energy under their own initiative. But there's no way of knowing how successful that's going to be. Especially given the damage the infrastructure must have sustained.
Well, our area was lucky, but Yamanashi and a few others did have their power cut. So again, that could go either way. Just have to take it one day at a time. In the meantime, I have my PSP charged and Zettai Zetsumei 3 ready to play (I actually bought my PSP for that game) so that's partly why I'm pissed about #4.
Anyhow, makes doing work during the day problematic due to not knowing for certain if power is going to be cut or not.
Add on the aforementioned lack of food, bottled drinks and gasoline along with the expected large quake sometime by Thursday and a possible similar quake within the next 30 days or so... And well, it's really pissing me off when things like games -- much needed entertainment -- are being effected.
Yeah I know, I could have it far far worse, I could have had my house collapse, I could have lost anything. As it is, we're in a quiet state of fear that that could theoretically still happen. The not knowing really eats away at you.
