Good to know this is coming to GOG. I'll keep an eye open for the release date. It wouldn't kill GOG though to add an entry in the New/Coming list so people would know to wait for the GOG release.

I am looking forward to playing the campaigns the most, which they mention are story-based. Yay!

I so hope that it'll run on my poor old computer and that I can afford it. (Maybe a pre-order discount, GOG?)

I have to hurry up and finish Shadow Magic before the release. My problem with AoW 2 and AoW: SM was that whenever I tried to start them I ended up playing the first Age of Wonders, one of my favorite games ever (if not the very best one).

When AoW 3 was announced I decided that I had to finish 2 and SM before the release. I beat AoW 2 some time ago. It's a very, very good game on its own but definitely worse than the first one. Now I'm somewhere in the middle in SM and I really like what I see. AoW 1 will remain my favorite from the series but I must admit that SM is not overshadowed like AoW 2 is. The story is captivating... I wonder if there are some nice twists like the death sphere in AoW 2 campaign... I'll see :)

AoW 3 will be instabuy for me too. And I'll definitely pre-order it if that is possible. I'm eager to play as a Theocrat ;)

I wonder if the Mac version is still being done as well. I didn't see anything about this on the Steam page when I checked but it didn't occur to me to check the Steam forum for news at the time. I hope so! I watched the trailer and it looks awesome.

If you don't know the AoWonders games, they are available here on gog.
The "Elemental" games certainly took inspiration from many 4x games, but this third opus is a direct sequel from AoWonders2/ShadowMagic.


Sidenote : for those wondering if AoW3 is coming to gog, since the day it was anounced Triumph always had a gog logo on the frontpage of AoW3 website (at least that's how I remember it).
