CowboyBebop: OOC: While I wait for Exile and Jacks picks, can you tell me what the most expensive item Gedrick has in his inventory? Does he have every item that is normally in the store? If the most expensive item he has would cost me 100 gold if I bought it, then I want to pick up a compass. Otherwise, I want the most expensive item he has.
OOC: Yes, the Compass would be the most expensive.. and it may actually come in handy during this quest. You wanna go with that? (Lantern and Grappling Hook would be equally expensive, though for Lantern you would really need matches too)

OOC: I've already got all the armor I need, so I'm picking a compass. It could come in handy on this quest and doesn't require matches. A grappling hook could be useful if I fell in a pit or had to climb a wall or something, but a compass will always point me in the right direction : )

IC: "I'll take a compass."

Gedrick the Nomad: Compass? Got it. I'm also giving you a 5HP potion.

Jack, how about you? Anything in the store.

OOC: For now, we'll ignore Lewendor's role in this. He can decide whether or not to give his share to Gedrick later. (Before the P'Zec -> Gold transfer is counted)

stoicsentry: OOC: Oh ok, my bad, I forgot about the the Nomad's demands for the goods. Hah.

JudasIscariot: OOC: What Nomad? What goods? I feel lost here...

IC: Jack decides to give 20% of the gold to the greedy as hell QM. But not until he gets everyone outfitted properly.

"What do you have for me, Cedrick?" he asked brusquely.
Any one item in the store, plus a 5HP potion.

OOC: Skeleton Key and 5HP potion it is!

The Ringmaster has dispatched division E on a recon mission to survey the location you requested.

Division E:

Borax the Brave of Northbrook, Warrior (Captain)
Shalham of Northbrook, Rogue
Geereeyee the Stormy of Quesar, Shaman

Division E is to perform the recon and then hold a point some 5 kilometers west of your intended destination. They are to report to you directly, and the immediately proceed to fulfill another pressing mission. They will not be available to aid you in your quest, but they will share the knowledge they have gained of the surroundings.

When you are ready to meet them, say so.

Jack will be ready to meet them as soon as his teammates are.

OOC: sorry for taking so long, internet issues.
No problem. Soon as Xir and Exile check in, we'll continue off to meet up with the scouts. Lew can of course drop by whenever he is ready. In the mean time, feel free to control his character as you were before.
I'm ready to meet up with the scouts.

Great. Exile?

I'll post the scouts reports shortly, whether or not Exile checks in.

My apologies for the delay. I will post an update today. Unfortunately, it seems like Exile has gone into.... Exile yet again.
OOC: Just an FYI I'm back, but still trying to catch up with work. I'll take the deal for an item but I'm not sure what item yet. I'll be sure to make that decision later today. :)
The Black Brigade has ventured to the meet up point with Division E. Exile has disappeared, without warning.

The scouts confirm Gobbler claims that there is an army of undead in the region, 2 kilometers west of your intended destination. There is no way to the destination except through them, as they gather in a line ranging from peak to peak.... blocking off the area.

Borax the Brave of Northbrook, Division E Captain: The undead are many in number, but weak and woefully slow. You should be able to break through their center rather easily. From there, you should focus on completing your task as quickly as possible, before the undead can trail you. Go back through their lines quickly once you are finished, and you should make it out in one piece just fine.

Shalham of Northbrook, Rogue: I managed to get an up close and personal look at the target destination. It's a small fortress atop a hill. Seems to be manned by several archers, who will fire down on you as you approach. I'm not sure who else is inside, but if you enter under cover of darkness, you may be able to avoid the archers altogether. That is my recommendation.

____

End of report.

OOC: Any questions, or proceed to the undead army?

OOC: I'm ready whenever Jack and Lewendor are. If it really is better to wait for nightfall then we should. Also, we're fighting an undead army with only 3 people and nobody is a cleric who knows Turn Undead? I have only one thing to say to that: "Charge!"

OOC: Indeed. Fortunately according to the scouts, it shouldn't be too much of a problem to burst through their lines and once through, they will have a hard time keeping up with your speed.
