"I will try to open the tower from the inside" Vir says to his companions.

Taking deep breaths to calm himself, Vir aims himself towards the broken window and leaps into the air. Near the apex of his jump, Vir enables his powers of levitation.

You fly through the window and into a narrow hallway. You push yourself down to open the latch which unlocks the door.

OOC: Anyone may use their movement point(s) this turn to enter the tower. More description of room once everyone enters.

OOC: Nice call to jump before you tried levitating. You wouldn't have made it otherwise!

OOC: You should probably deactivate levitation next turn. You keep bumping your head on the ceiling!

Remaining turns:

Lucas: move up to 1/act (slowed)
Arkades: move up to 2/act
Phil: move up to 2/act

After hearing the satisfying sound of glass shattering, Phil resumed breathing. He hadn't even noticed that he'd stopped until air once again filled his lungs. Unnatural fog and magic barriers - this place creeped him out! His outward look was still one of determination and sternness, though. Knowing that magic users bled like everyone else, was of some consolation.

The sound of the doors being unlatched from the inside - Phil assumed it was Vir's doing, feeling slightly less aversion to magic; it had its uses at times - got him out of this weird, introverted mode.

"Everyone inside!" he called out to the others and made a run for the doors. As he entered the tower, he took a good look around, looking for strategic advantages.
Lucas grunts are he ran into the tower, preferring not to stay outside any longer.
OOC: Arkades has entered the tower along with you. No map here, so just roleplay as best you can. It's free-form, don't worry about making 'mistakes'! And ask questions if you wish.

You are in a crowded entryway. There is hardly enough space for all of you to fit, though you manage to squeeze in.

Bloody fingerprints decorate the walls. The cobblestone floors are wet with puddles of blood. The ceiling rises 15 feet above you, where the smashed stained glass window lets in the dim light of the sun.

Directly in front of you there is a staircase that spirals slowly upwards. Torches adorn the walls of the staircase. Upstairs you hear a cacophony of terrifying noises: cries of torment, shrieking voices and the sound of blades meeting bones.

You can't tell how many steps the staircase has. However, you estimate that you may ascend approximately 12 stairs safely without being detected.

There is nowhere to go but upstairs or back outdoors. Outside, it sounds as if Kalix and Kale's units have begun to battle the cult members that remained after the battle with the barbarians.

New turn:
Arkades: move and/or act
Vir: move and/or act
Phil: move and/or act
Lucas: move and/or act

OOC: If you're having trouble deciding what to do, here are a few options: you can 1) go outside and join Kalix and Kale in fighting off the cult, 2) use a skill but stay put, 3) use a skill (or not) and climb less than 12 steps up the stairs to try to learn more about what's going on up there, 4) use a skill (or not) and just go ahead and run up the stairs anyway, ignoring the potential danger. But don't feel confined to just do any of these things... you can do whatever you imagine. :)

OOC: Sorry I couldn't post. I was busy doing some stuff for college, high school, and now I have a form for a leadership camp due Tuesday. YAY! /sarcasm

Lucas walked up ten steps and listened to see what the noise was about. He had a feeling that whatever was causing all this madness was at the top of these stairs.

Undetected, you watch as feet scurry back and forth across the room above you. A man with a commanding voice barks out orders to those around him in all directions, "You, over there! You, load the vials on to that cart and bring it to the recovery room. You, with me, I have someone that needs your immediate attention!"

Remaining turns:
Vir
Arkades
Phil

OOC: You mean my air control isn't good enough?
Also, since I wouldn't make footsteps while levitating, would I get some kind of stealth bonus?

OOC: Yeah, not really. It's tough to control when you're moving. You managed to push down to get the latch open, but it's physically strenuous.

I suppose you could get some stealth bonus while moving, but just be careful because if you move a lot like this, you'll probably get tired trying to control the height at which you're levitating.

OOC: Oh well.

Setting himself upon the ground, Vir turns to Arkades and Phil.

"I will accompany Lucas up the tower. Someone should assist the children outside."

Vir turns and stalks up the staircase to stand just behind Lucas. He keeps a keen eye up the stairs ahead of them, and attentively listens to the sounds of the distant pandemonium.

OOC: I have to see someone to Telepathy-ize him, right?
OOC: Can we bring in the Hero of Northbrook? :P

The noise upstairs grows louder with each step you take. the words you hear are indecipherable. From here you can only make out the heavy boot of a man standing at the top of the stairs. The boot is blood stained.

OOC: I have to see someone to Telepathy-ize him, right?
At least part of them.

It's been 24 hours, so new turn.

Phil and Arkades join you two. Each of you are about halfway up the stairs, with Lucas in front, followed by Vir, followed by Phil and Arkades near the bottom.

New turn:

Vir: move and/or act
Phi;: move and/or act
Lucas: move and/or act
Arkades: move and/or act

OOC: No sorry, we're almost finished here. I'll reserve you a spot in the next one.

OOC: Yeah just one. Trying to hold the next game to 3 characters. Which reminds me, I didn't add Onyx to the roster yet.
