Will people burned by Aliens:CM give this a benefit of a doubt?

read about this, not interested in the slightest. Alien games are dead to me.
Just so long as Gearbox hasn't dipped it's filthy hands into its development I'll give it a shot.
I won't, for a couple of reasons.

1. Burned by every Aliens property for a loooong time.

2. Creative Assembly makes strategy games. If they were making some sort of turn based survival squad based game along the lines of say, Aliens: X-Com, I'd have a little more faith. They're not, so I don't.
I was just reading up on this on IGN. From the videos it looks really interesting and a move away from the previously bad shooter Alien inspired games. If done right this could be the first legitimately good use of a movie license for a video game.
Looks more like Penumbra/Amnesia than the FPS Alien games from before. Who knows, might be even good - but anyways, waiting for the reviews (and discounts naturally)...
I had to laugh out loud when I saw the protagonist hide from the alien behind a few boxes. My monies on it being another quickly forgotten stinker.

This will suck, big time. The only way to make a successful Alien game is to make a seccessful Alien vs. Predator game, maybe AvP2 with modern graphics, think of it more as an HD remake
I will buy it D1 if it will contains dancing Aliens :D
This looks great
Really does not look promising. Sorry.

Hey, there have been a few good ones in the past, rare as they are. Pretty much everyone loved James Bond: Golden Eye on the N64, and the Riddick games available right here at GOG are apparently very good, too.
I have yet to play the latest Aliens vs Predator and CM, but this new one is looking attractive, as much a Xenomorph can be.. :P
