OldFatGuy: It's okay. My point though was to try to incentivize new purchases as a way to thank them. Previous purchases obviously need no new incentive.
Yeah, I get it. Let's see what the weekend holds for us :D
That a strange, illogical topic actually. "spend a lot $$$ and get small cheap bonus for free". I guess its all usual marketing going absorbed into peoples blood.
Anyway, if some customer have enough free $$$ to spend on games just to participate in this contest, then he already have enough $$$ to get that games for him itself. And where is reason then?
And yes, i'm not in. Nice try, though

It's more of a 'competition to support GOG'.
The prize is the 'trophy' for being the most supportive.
The value of the trophy doesn't matter, it's just all good fun for a good cause. ;)

BTW: I'll probably lose, but I'm in. :)

Ok, i see it, but in my honest opinion if we talk about support i'd prefer to donate for charity or something. GOG is great, sure, but life is not limited to games.
Anyway, its topic-starters idea, so whatever.

We're not donating anything, just buying games as usual.
And tomorrow is sale day! ;)

All fair points. I have no illusions of anyone spending a lot $$$ to get a small cheap bonus though. It was more, I have this code I'm not using, and I'd like to give it to someone and do it in a way that might mean an extra sale or two for gog.

Going in I more or less knew it was a bad idea in that it would be unpopular, and most wouldn't participate. But I wanted to do it anyway because gog rewarded me for pre-ordering AoW 3, and since I'm not using it and am really pleased with gog "returning to it's roots" I thought I'd reward someone who ordered something tomorrow and went to the trouble of posting it. And since I only have one code and can't reward everyone for purchasing something tomorrow AND because it may prove to be a small incentive, I decided to make it the largest purchaser. I thought about just making it the FIRST purchaser to post a screenshot after I posted, in which case I was going to wait until tomorrow. But the more I thought about it the more I decided nah, I'm going to reward the biggest spender.

I do apologize if most don't like this method or approve of it as it wasn't my intention to make folks angry. I've done and will do other giveaways that are more traditional, but because of the events lately and the way things worked out, I wanted this to be more like a reward that just a true giveaway.

Too long to Read I know, sorry for that too. Just trying to explain some of my reasoning.
Not in, but thanks for your generosity, OldFatGuy!

And yes, I also liked that GOG decided to downgrade (partially at least) its regional price stunt. ;)
No need to apologies, really, OldFatGuy. Its just my opinion, nothing else.
OK, it's not much but I'll go first.

Congratulations, PM sent, and I hope you enjoy the game.

LOL, for some reason the first time I tried to send it, it wouldn't work. I came back here and edited this to ask how you wanted me to handle it, and after that decided to try a PM one more time, and that time it worked. Strange.

Enjoy your game.

Thank you sir!
First place out of one. :(
It was a very generous and thoughtful thing for you to do even if it didn't raise much interest.
I have a feeling many just didn't want their purchase activity made 'public'.
Thanks again.

Edit: Redeemed for Disciples. ;)
