Sorry to make a thread for this, but I trust this community more than the Steam forums. I'm really curious about this game, but I'm reading accounts of folks with really good rigs not being able to run it. My rig is no monster, so I'm mainly just curious if anyone's tried it, and how it runs on your system. Some folks with older systems seem to have no trouble, so I'm not convinced it's a "not-meeting-requirements" issue at all.

While you're at it, how's the game?

Any input? Thanks for humoring me, folks!
I was really tempted to buy this game today, and still might, but isn't their summer sale in a few weeks? I'm thinking maybe I should control myself and wait for it since it should have a bigger discount by then.

Perhaps you should do the same? Whatever problems it has they should be well detailed, or maybe even fixed, by then.
That's a good point, and I'll bet there is a sale coming soon. Thanks for the input!
I bought it + Giana Sisters (which I wouldn't recommend) today and haven't had a chance to play it, I'll report back after I get some time to spend with it.

Just out of curiosity, what do you dislike about Giana Sisters? Was looking at that one too.

Well I have bad reflexes, so I tend to stick with slower games. Giana Sisters is one of those platformers that demands pin-point precision in executing jumps and you need to train your reflexes to get past anything. This ends up in a lot of dying and a generally annoying experience. I expected something like Trine where there would be a puzzle element to the form shifting that has some reflexes, not this masochistic old school design.

If you like that type of thing, it is actually a really good game, just not my bag at all.
Apparently it makes processors overheat. I think I'll wait for a patch, and/or it to be in a bundle.

damn optimization, probably will be unplayable in laptop
Got some stutter, but my rig isn't the greatest. If your PC exceeds the stats below, you shouldn't have trouble in my opinion.

CPU: Athlon II 645
GPU: Radeon HD 4890
RAM: 4 gigabytes, DDR2

Anyways, just picked up the game from Steam and giving it a spin. Good initial impressions thus far. :)

I can't vouch for the PC version or any performance issues, but I played the 360 release and it was my favorite game of last year. From a gameplay/art perspective, very highly recommended.
TB's take on it...

Ok, it looks awesome.
Just saw it, even though I dislike the character art (Dunno why, but they kind of look funky to me) I think I hav eto get it, the rest of the game seems really too good to pass on.

Plus I never had a negative experience with a one man project until now, so i'm always happy to support that kind of dedication.
Looks like you can rescue characters from other indie games, such as Meat Boy. It warms my heart. :)

In case anyone is wondering, the game will run on WinXP, though is not officially supported, but those running it on XP (as far as I've seen) are the ones reporting the overheating issues. It's also a toss-up if it'll run on XP at all...some report no issues, while others can't even get it to start.
