The suggestion was made here - http://www.gog.com/forum/general/why_no_xcom_gog/post28 - that Take 2 might be willing to come aboard GOG now that they're willing to have regional pricing. That got me wondering, what are the best games published by Take 2 (and don't appear to have any extra legal entanglements like Kiss Psycho Circus or Blair Witch Project) that GOG could "resurrect"? (X-Com doesn't count of course, but would be great to still see them come here.)

There don't appear to be too many high on the wishlist, but this is what I found:

http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/oni

(Oni seems to be a big one. http://halo.bungie.net/projects/Oni/ does say that Take 2 still has the IP, and it appears, according to http://docs9.chomikuj.pl/1450557099,PL,0,0,readme.txt, that the game did support 3Dfx cards so perhaps nGlide could be implemented (I always say that whenever 3Dfx is mentioned; I don't know the tech details), although the link documentation says fog, lensflares, and the gamma slider are not supported by 3Dfx.)

http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/civilization_1_2,
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/sid_meiers_civilization_1

(Civ 1 & 2 may be outdone by the newer games [I don't know; I only ever played 3], but this is high on the wishlist.)

http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/jazz_jackrabbit_2_1

(This may be more complex than it seems, since GoD/Take 2 published Jazz 2 but Epic appears to still own the copyright. Fun platformer for sure, though.)

Off of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Take-Two_Interactive_video_games, these caught my attention:

Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller
Ripper ("featuring the music of Blue Oyster Cult" - okay, this probably has copyright issues up the wazoo)
Black Dahlia

Are you kidding? Civ 2 was the last great Civ game, after that they became increasingly simplified and streamlined.
Isnt Civ 3 and 4 the best of the series? (5 is oversimplified)

Note I said "may be". :-P I meant that I haven't played any of them (aside from Civ 3, actually); perhaps I should clarify in the OP.
Well, I don't know about which games they could revive, but Evolve sounds awesome.

However, I do remember coming across Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.² some time ago, seems like an interesting game.

I "acquired" it a few months back; it's really fun (at least I really enjoyed it) but I had to cheat to get all the through, then the final boss glitched and I never beat him.

Unfortunately I think there would be legal issues since the game made use of the "Heavy Metal" universe.

Ah, well...I will paste this here all the same :]

I also see something like Space Station Silicon Valley flying here

Or maybe Biosys

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biosys

Wow, T-2 makes nice games.
Nocturne
The Motherfucking Ripper.
I always makes me laugh when people label the Civ game that finally got rid of those braindead "Stacks of Doom" strategies as the "oversimplified" game.

It's cool, important to remember is that Brian Reynolds designed Civ 2, same guy who designed Alpha Centauri. ie the best Civ game was actually not made by Sid Meiers.
