It will be interesting to see what sort of hype the new game gets closer to release considering what happened with Dragon Age II.

Elmofongo: That port must have been bad if Wikipedia does not acknowledge the PS1 version.
For clarity, the PlayStation version of Baldur's Gate was cancelled (the video is from a beta build).
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DAIcombatgameplay

A survey for DA:I. Go and do it :D

(Should be official, as this was in their facebook page)
Done.

Here's hoping for better encounter design than I had to suffer through in DA II.
Done.

I hope they focus more on exploration (without too much of random encounters) and add harder puzzles (affected by difficulty so people won't complain) that is interwoven into the gameplay, maybe even during combat.
Done

I pretty much said extremely important to everything, they were all just too good.
Good survey. Put no intention to get next-gen consoles, preferred difficulty: hard-nightmare, intimate romance = not important (wouldn't mind BG's text romance options), compelling characters and party+party combat+storyline+controls+customisaton+design = extremely important.

Bascially the rest of the options I've put every fight for things like pause and whether I've used my companions, I want them to strengthen the RTwP tactical fights, wouldn't want it to become hack-and-slash.

Fade to black at 0:58 to hide screen-space water reflection bugging out :p

Aside from that, looks great. Hope the gameplay is good too...

Yeah I know what you mean, but EA has changed its one time online activation policy and they allow publishers now to dismiss micro transactions on their games (titanfall will only have dlc based content, the rest consists of free update) so at least it's an improvement. But I don't know if EA is to blame for Bioware's money sucking policy. The last complete edition that Bioware released was DA: O ult edtition which had all the DLC's (that were disk locked anyway :s). But for their other titles, you have to go on their web and purchase DLC's by purchasing Bio points. So F that and besides the Bio founding fathers left the company so they have a totally different view on gaming.

No problem, maybe you guys want to take a look at this gameplay video. Gotta admit looks good but then again they promised a lot of improvement with DA2 and flat out lied to everyone by saying "it's their most interactive titles ever"

I only ever played the demo of Dragon Age 2 then when I tried it for the first time as the actual game a few months ago I believe I actually enjoyed it so I'm going to wait with Dragon Age 3 as well, it's so nice to realize you have a brand new AAA you haven't touched that is fully playable due to bug fixes, all DLCs released, mods available etc.. and almost most important, no unnecessary hype in the media that you may be caught up in.
Haha, oh wow, that trailer..."We want the Skyrim audience"

At least there is more varied enviornments and unlike Skyrim there appears to be a big Captial City. And thats one thing I was dissipointed with Skyrim is the its Captial City Whiterun looks like your avarage city in Cyrodiil and Morrowind and those 2 latter games had Vivec and Imperial City and they were memorable and large.

Well, don't get your hopes up, modern Bioware do not do open-world games, they focus on the old linear quest hub design right down to a tee, even when they get criticized for it. Bethesda can actually take their time making games for years, even if they do end up mediocre they're still big, but there's not a chance that EA would give Bioware the time and money to make an open-world Dragon Age - they'd chuck it out the door after 18 months to sure up the annual financials.
