Urm, I have taken books out of bins (for your rubbish) because I cannot always buy things at full price. Guess how I buy 90% of my games.

With games unless I really want to play it I can wait for it to be bundled or even heavily discounted. Yet I care more for the price then the discount. STALKER series for $15 is not too bad, as I still mull it over, but even $5 for Jazzpunk just seems too high.

I mostly ignore 10% discounts. If I really want the game, I'm fine with paying the full price and don't care about saving $1-2. If I'm indecisive, I'd rather wait for a huge discount or reliable reviews of the game in question instead of buying it on impulse just because it's 10% off.

On GoG I buy pretty much all for 50% off (or deeper discounts) but often times those are games that I already own on disk and just want a digital copy of. Disk versions of games I rarely go over 20€ but it does happen. A few days ago I purchased Assassin's Creed IV Skull Edition for 35€ but I know I will love that game and get 30-50 hours out of it.

I usually say that I must get about 2 dollars per game hour out of a game for it to be worth it for me so naturally the game either needs to be cheap or needs to have many game hours in it. But it does come down to not having that much money because if I did I would love to support devs as much as possible.

If it's on a sale for 50% off and I think I will like it, I will buy one copy. If it is on sale for 70% or more off I will buy it even if it's just on the "maybe I will enjoy it" pile or the "I have it elsewhere" pile. Then I download it and test play it for about an hour. If I thought it was good (or I know it's one of my favorites) I will pick up 1-3 more copies (at the 70% off price) to gift to other people. If I recently came into money (gifts, betting, odd jobs that give an extra bump in income) then I will pick up a game that I really truly want to try at full price.

Path of Exile is TRULY FREE and I highly recommend it to everyone who likes Torchlight or Diablo like action rpgs.
PoE is a great game that you can not loose by d/l & trying.

PoE relies on what they call 'micro-transactions' as a means of income. ALL transactions are cosmetic with the exception of being able to buy additional storage space and guild size/storage transactions.

My choice to purchase additional storage tabs was a decision of convenience and wanting to support Grinding Gear Games.
