I wondered what others buying habits might be like here on gog.

Title like those that come out new here and are presented with a 10% off or so as an introductory price.

Or, gog games in general that are not on sale.

So, what do you do; buy introductory games at a 10% or so off price. Do you purchase other titles here at full price?

Or do you wait for more serious sales 60-70% off before buying?

Personally, I have moved from full price to always waiting for deep sales before I purchase. I have never purchased a game presented at 10% off.

What about you?
I buy mostly older games and completely ignore this newer Desura-tier indie tumblr-nose crap GOG's been publishing lately.
Deep discounts unless I really want to play the game right then and there.

I'll probably buy dreamfall chapters at full price.

Same here. Of course, I can hardly afford to buy much anymore, but when I do, it's most likely something older that I either had when it came out and I want it again, or older similar games. I do tend to prefer "old-school" games, but I'm not particularly interested in all these new attempts at regression.

edit: and I admit, all these sales, here and elsewhere, have kind of turned me into one of those "Well, I can wait" people. I'm never going to pay fifty dollars or more for a game again, nor will I pay twenty for a "game" that lasts a few hours. I'm exaggerating to make a point, but hey.

Nope, I don't have the money to buy full price games I want. I have to schedule my hobbies. When all the games are expensive I switch to reading. When there is a sale with something I want I switch back.
I buy must haves immediately, funds willing. Less interesting games are purchased at discount. A 10% off sale is rarely attractive.

Edit:
Lately, I've started to think about games that might disappear. :\

First, it was few games for big money*. Then, many games for little money.

*funny that $9.90 is full price nowadays, I payed $99 for a U.S. import version of Daggerfall in 1996. Spent more time on that though than on all my GOG purchases combined so far (since November 2013).
For me to pay for a game when it comes out I will have to really want to play the game. Otherwise, I will wait for the deep discount. Now if GOG can somehow bring the AOE series they will see how fast I make that purchase for whatever they are asking.
I definitely prefer to buy games on sale, but GOG's prices are mostly so low that I have no problem occasionally picking up a full-price game.

I do have a Steam account but I've never actually bought a game through them, and I don't have any particular plans to do so. Every one of the games in my account has come from pay-what-you-want bundles.
I first bought games at full price after joining GOG but after a short time i felt cheated with all those promos and sales.
Now i only buy very few games at release.
And like awalterj wrote its funny how this changed. My first games were in the 100 - 150 DM range.
Later games were sold for 59 DM and than came Mastertronic with their 9.99 DM.

I thought all you Europeans were cumbaya with the Euro currency. Did that fantasy go away with the economic crash? Or did Deutschland not want to play?

Same.

Also same for Dreamfall :]
I have only paid full price for two games (Divine Divinity and Arcanum) everything else has been been heavily discounted.

Edit: I should've mentioned I have not bought any indie games on GOG yet.

The Euro is just 12 years old.
I was speaking of a time were the Deutsche Mark was our currency (30+ years ago).
With inflation you could convert a DM from the 80's to around € 1.20 ($ 1.60).
