crazy_dave: During some of GOG's videos you can also see Disney game posters. I believe when that was asked about then, someone said that CD Projekt (the owner of CD Projekt Red and GOG) sells Disney games in retail stores in the Poland and eastern Europe. Sadly I don't think that necessarily translates into GOG getting Disney (and therefore LucasArts) which would be nice ... sigh ... That's my guess anyway.

True and I believe CDP's relationships with publishers was how GOG made its inroads. I just didn't want to make it seem like it was a guarantee of anything though, because I'd rather not expect anything and be pleasantly surprised if something good does happen. :)

Because I requested that my account be deleted and the posts removed because I felt I was not being treated fairly, and was denied the opportunity to respond, or at least strongly cautioned not to respond, I felt that this was the fairest way to deal with the situation without forcing anyone to lose face.

Instead, my account was deleted, but my posts were not removed. Not having an account precludes me editing/deleting my posts.

Anyway, some progress was made: Marcin Mormot did follow up with me about looking into the matter. Unfortunately, I've heard nothing further, but hopefully he will follow up sometime soon.

Thanks again to Judas for his assistance with the issue.

We all have a tendency to address our issues to the man at the top, but in reality that's probably not going to get you the results you need in the most efficient manner. Think about it for a second: if you had a technical problem with Windows 8, would you fire off an email to Bill Gates? If you did, don't expect good/fast service because it's not in Gates' job description to deal with issues like that, and so you'd either get no response at all or at best much much slower progress toward your end goal as his days are tied up with the things that ARE his job position's responsibility. Instead of wasting your time like that you're better off finding out who the person is who could help you ASAP because it's their actual job to help you (and they'd presumably know how to do the thing you're asking, while a CEO may not) and direct your concerns there.

Maybe not as satisfying as taking it to the top, but you'll get much better results.

I agree, but I get the impression he's already attempted that. This is a "last resort" situation.

In all honesty, no forum I ever visit deletes posts, and I agree with it. A thread is a thread because you have a full history of replies, and posts should remain there even if the user doesn't want to be a member of that particular board or not.

Heck, one of the forums has a temp-ban rule for deleting (or significantly altering) the contents of your post if someone already posted after you.

There's a difference between spam and posts with actual content which then get edited to remove said content.

It's so much more fun though when said edited posts get blank after they're quoted for posterity by someone else.
