I checked Youtube videos on this when it was first posted in the Gaming Deals Thread and it got me thinking - this game is yet another clone of Alien/Zombie/Mutant/Infected Shooter. Why not remove the mindless action, add slight RP elements, inventory and ammunition management, simple quests and voila you actually have an interesting game worth playing?

Agreed.....I love the shooter titles(Having played a bit of AS 1/2), but always wondered why they couldn't add some more interaction and RPG elements and make it even better? Ya know? (Alien Breed is wonderful for this, I think.)

AS 2 includes some RPG elements. Not the best, but they're workable.

Too bad I can't seem to get the download to finish. Gets close to the end and fails. Plus the download is slow. Too bad the torrent doesn't work.

I still can't seem to get the download to complete successfully. It gets close to the end and fails, which sucks because their site only seems to send me data at 200 KB/sec, which means each download attempt takes about 20 minutes.

If you are using Firefox, try with DownThemAll add-on. Oh, and I only got around 25-50KB/sec.

I tried that, I tried the FF download manager, I tried Free Download Manager...
I'll try DownThemAll again.

EDIT: It still got to 268.01 MB out of 268.02 and just stopped. I see that GamersGate has it free, so I'm going to try downloading it there.

You can get it from Desura as well.

Tried it and did not really care for it. Artstyle is pretty cool, but the gameplay is just boring.

Hmmmm i remember when Gamersgate had this game on pre order not too long ago. For them to make it free so soon it must have sold terribly.
