Well Duh. Still an awful lot of "we tried to innovate" when they clearly didn't and no actual mention of the real problems like re-using areas and spawning mobs. Also the dreaded word 'multiplayer' has been mentioned.

You lost this fan with Dragon Age 1 and Mass Effect 2 as well.
I read some longer comments from this interview somewhere I think. I remember specifically him saying something about critics liking the game, which is mostly a lie, and being more acerbic about people just not liking change.

I doubt they really have taken any comments to heart except for the complaints about repeated environments, which they can blame on EA's timeframe.

So much for we will stay as we were from Bioware when joining EA.

They will probably do away with the repeated environments, but the next game will probably be shorter.
It's a sad reflection when pandering to the lowest common denominator now passes for "innovation".

Multiplayer could be fine if they give mod tools as well.
maybe they should change the name of dragon age 2 to dragon age 1.9 and remake another dragon age 2
I gave up on EA at this point. Nothing but shit has come out of their recent releases.

Funny, EA have been by far my favorite publisher the last few years. Dead Space and Dead Space 2, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, Hot Pursuit, Mirror's Edge, the original Dragon Age, Crysis 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Bulletstorm, The Saboteur, Burnout Paradise... all amazing games if you ask me.

Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3 are two of my most anticipated games in the next year as well.
Well they certainly lost me. I am getting Mass effect 3 just to complete the series then i am not buying another bioware game until they address the lets dumb down the game for the masses and start to produce proper rpg's again (which i doubt will happen now).

Yeah same here, I was hoping after the feedback from ME2 they might move back to more of the RPGish qualities from ME1, but looks like they're headed further down the other path.

And yeah, they lost me with DA2. When I first started the demo I thought I was hallucinating, it was like a bad parody of everything it shouldn't of been.

I'm glad that companies are releasing demos again now, helped me dodge a few bullets this year :)

Glad you changed that.
I am tempted to feel offense at Laidlaw's comments that DA2 was "innovative", considering it took place in such a small location compared to the original, re-used maps over and over, dumbed down combat, took away choice and borrowed the set in stone character style of ME.

So other than the 3rd person storytelling (a story with no ending, mind you!), what was "innovative" about DA2?

I've been wanting to boycott EA since many years back but they keep buying out my favourite studios unfortunately. With ME3 released I can finally start my boycott seriously.

I've been boycotting them for a while. Well, not them specifically, just the newer releases where they used the DRM that I find objectionable.

So, the games here that they own, I've got no problem buying.
