I'm in for Startopia, for two reasons: a), my original CD copy of it broke while I moved some time ago, and b), the computer in which I had it installed (and cracked) no longer works. I really love that game, and I'm not even a strategy/sim fan, so I'd be delighted if I could play it again. +repping you like crazy, the Eidos catalog is absolutely amazeballs, and any giveaway concerning it deserves the highest praise.
As for stories concerning the "Square-Enix" catalog, it's actually funny, because both "Square-Enix" (Enix, not even Square) and proper Eidos have some of my favourite games and series ever. By Enix, I can't recommend ActRaiser and Terranigma enough, Terranigma is arguably my favourite SNES game, one of the best action RPGs I've ever played, with gorgeous pixel-art, an intense, long story with deep philosophical themes, fluid mechanics and superb OST -- it's the final part of the unofficial Enix "creation trilogy" (the first two parts being Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia/Illusion of Time), and it's definitely the best of the three. ActRaiser was a game way ahead of its time, mixing god-sim, strategy and action platforming seamlessly, something I haven't seen any other game do, to this day (the second game in the series is but a dumbed-down version, consisting only of the side-scrolling action platforming parts, albeit prettier than the first). Every time I still boot up my SNES, it's to play these two games. So, thank you, Enix, for making these gems that stimulated my mind and imagination while growing up.
Now, for Eidos proper. In all honesty, there are way too many Eidos games I could name, but I'll stick to the Legacy of Kain series. I played them all, from the very first Silicon Knights' Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, to the highly overlooked Legacy of Kain: Defiance (haven't tried the new Nosgoth-or-whatever-they're-calling-it and I'm not interested in it at all), and though I liked Blood Omen, it was the awesome Soul Reaver that made me a fan of the series. The characters were no longer the typical run-of-the-mill vampires in a gothic/lovecraftian setting, but felt complex and their intertwined tragic fates made for a very compelling story. The script was stellar from the very beginning until the end of the series (I even made an essay on Defiance's script in university, which was highly praised and even made it to that year's degree book). What Enix's Terranigma sparked in my mind, the Legacy of Kain series, from Soul Reaver onwards, developed and stimulated further. My interest in good literature, good writing and, in retrospect, my whole degree in Language, Culture and Literature (philology) has a high influence of Terranigma, for the subject matter, and LoK, for the amazing character development and background lore and setting.
Good luck, everyone! :)
