Gersen: Thanks... so it's again a classic case of "we didn't remove anything from the game to make the 0 day DLC, the DLC was made after the game was finished and went gold".
Not really, because it's a bonus game. Also I have been told that trick only works if you somehow download the files for the original game from somewhere.

I was talking about the Dresses and Weapons DLC not the original Alice game.

StingingVelvet: PC Gamer's Logan Decker says the Origin release has widescreen options. Still, if that;s the only change I hardly care that much. It's probably vert- too.
Works for me, been playing it at 1440x900 (my monitor's native resolution). Generally my main issue with old games is resolution, so that change is enough for me.

You can make the original release run in widescreen anyway, is what I meant.

I don't have the original release, though :P I played a not too legal copy about 6 years ago.

Snickersnack: Bizarre, mine doesn't. At least not from the internal menu (goes from 640x480 ---> 1600x1200 without any widescreen choices). Do you have a link by any chance? I may uninstall the original release and try again.

I'm sorry if I steered you wrong in this. :(

StingingVelvet: It's on his twitter. About 6 hours ago... I don't know how to link to one tweet. He might be wrong. Or maybe there is a widescreen toggle you missed. Either way no big deal, if that is all they changed I wouldn't buy it on Origin anyway.
Ack! The original release of AM Alice was conflicting with the bundled one. A:MR was calling it for some reason. It was using the bundled version's working directory and everything. I'm amazed it worked at all. :(

So I uninstalled the original release and the bundled version now works. I can set widescreen resolutions in the UI and there is built in 360 pad support. Other than that, it looks exactly same.

Oooohhh... 360 pad support on the HUD and such would be lovely. Maybe I will buy it when it appears on GOG or Origin or somewhere.

Actually, textures for characters look better.

So yeah, its pretty much the same :P

You sure? I played through the original release 2 days ago and couldn't tell (not that the textures look bad or anything).

Yeah, character textures are a bit more detailed... I saw some side-to-side screenshots, in Alice you barely notice it, but in the white rabbit, for example, the texture is better.
