FFL2and3rocks: Darn, I was hoping there would be more games added sometime. Glad I never paid to upgrade or get more void slots.

On the plus side, I can still play the void game I downloaded previously, and the advertisement doesn't play.

Simbabluenobi: YUPPER ... Only been there maybe 5 times and finally checked to see what VOID was all about and picked up CURSED MOUNTAIN (said Not for Windows 7) but plays Great in windows 7 ... No ads either ...
Next day I go back and VOID shutdown ...
LUCKY ME :)
I think this is primary reason it closed down.
well i had fun with joan of arc
Im glad i started downloading and backing up all my games from GG. Im worried that they might suddenly go out of business.

Not a bad plan as long as your connection is free and you got the space. After the constant screw-ups I spent my last stash of blue coins in case they implode and the coins are lost forever. I only had like $2.54, but figured I might as well as a precaution.

Started doing that a couple of days ago myself. ;)

My Amazon & Steam games, im not too worried. Both companies should be around for a long time. GOG seems to be in good financial shape also, but i backup all my GOG games anyway because they are drm free and they are usually small in size, so i just throw them onto DVDRs. You can never be too careful these days, especially with a horrible economy.
Void was dead before it ever left beta. Never got a single game to actually run via it, even when the normal version of the game ran perfectly.

Those I tried worked flawlessly. Win 7 x64.

Really? Every single one I tried said it was using a 16 bit executable and Win 7 x64 won't run those.
Well, that didn't last long. Most of the VOID games were either titles I already owned, or titles I had no interest in even trying. Mostly the former. I'd never even bothered to try it yet. I might have tried it one day, but it's hard to miss something I never used. Unlike the 15% "permanent" discount. ¬_¬
I forgot all about VOID.
Yes, it was mostly crap, but there were a few good ones, such as Majesty and Disciples II.
I could never get any of the free games to work, every time I'd try to load one up it would crash after the adverts.

I can't imagine how pissed off people that did spend coin/money on those are right now.
GG is a DISASTER. I wouldn't trust GG to tell me whether it's raining outside let alone with all of their other BS promises.

GG: We'll have your refund on that by.. well, we're not sure when. But stop contacting us about it! It's the holidays, we'll get around to it! It's complicated, OK? So just shut up we'll get that refund to you.
