Hi everynone! I just bought a new pc my firend (i don't know much about pcss) said could atake crysis 2 and shogun 2 on the highest graphics, just so you get a picture of it, and now I'm wondering, as completely nwe to the pc game genre! (I have a ps2 and 360 which I use frequently) I wonder which games I should get, of course games on gog bbut also games that are on the market today, so what do tou think?
Well what genres do you like, or rather which doesn't you like generally and what genres haven't you tried out yet? Just to give a starting point as to what should be suggested.

Divinity 2 Dragon Knight Saga
Dragon Age: Origins
Gothic 3: With Community Patches
Risen

Here are the few I'd suggest of course there all RPG's so it really a bias list :D
WEll I like the most that arent obvioslu milked out of content in purpose of gaining as much undeserved money as possible. I like RTS, RPGS (perhaps favourite genre), FPS, Adventure games (I realy enjoy point and click games) and puzzle games. Japanese games also hav a special place in my heart but I'm well aware that these arent in large quantities on the PC for some reason. And if a game is one month or one decade old doenst matter, I require variation!
For a really cool Adventure Game I'd head over to www.tsl-game.com It's a fan made game that is completing the story of the King's Quest series. Pretty decent graphics and it's half way done so if you don't want to wait for the end check it out in 6 months should be done by then.

The Witcher is a PC-only exclusive, and it's an amazing RPG with mature story. Do not play if you're under 18 at any case... It'll be sold soon on GoG alongside with the second part.

If your PC can handle Shogun 2 on the highest settings then it can handle pretty much anything TBH. The PC gaming world is your veritable oyster.
Thanks! The witcher and shogun are definite purchases, I will look into the gothic and divinity series as well as the kings quest!
But gothic 3, isnt htat horribly buggy?
also, I already have dragon age origins on y 360 and thought it was ok, worth getting on pc? or perhas something like neverwinter nights 2?

If you're an FPS fan with a PC, you have to have DOOM and DOOM II. You just have to. You have no excuses whatsoever.

When it was first released yes it was terribly buggy but when you apply the community made patches it goes from being a crappy buggy mess to a really awesome RPG experience.
For FPS type thingie im loving Borderlands on the PC, much better than the 360 IMO, it just plays smoother (And I can use MP my 360 drops its net connection every few mins)
What about empire total war? crysis one? and what point and click games are the best?
anyway, have anyone tried the new game from jane jansen? Gra matters? havent tried it myself as my previous computer was bad in 2005 already but it seems intriguing!

I highly recommend both. Obviously completely different games. Some people found Empire to be a little too big in scope to be manageable so it might be better to start with the smaller in focus Napoleon:TW. However the combined Empire/Napoleon GOTY pack has been on sale several times so I would just keep an eye out for that as it's great value.

Crysis is excellent, one of the best PC FPS games and you should be able to run it well. It would also be worth checking out Cryteks original Far Cry here on GOG which is also superb.
Well then.
-Baldur's Gate series
-Doom series.
-Recettear: An Item Shop Tale.
-Planescape Torment.
-Amnesia: The Dark Decent.
-The Witcher
