Lafazar: I made a GOGMix with just that subject. I tried to justify each entry, but I'd love to hear more suggestions and/or criticisms:

I was going to suggest you add 7th Guest, but you already did! Awesome.

I'm really into that game right now. I was expecting goofy FMV so bad it's good, but I was completely blown away. It's still a little goofy, but awesome all the same.

AegisRunestone: Only IWD2 was non-Bioware of the Infinity Engine games, I believe.
No, Baldur's Gate was all Bioware (both games). Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment were both developed by Black Isle.
KKND Extreme.

Many of the mission briefings are quite weil written, ie. funny.

Really? But, the Black Isle logo appears when you load the game. O.o At least in Baldur's Gate II, it does. The Bioware logo also loads up. And as I recall, IWD1 also has the Bioware logo.

They were the publisher, Bioware developed.

AH. I see.
No one has mentioned Mafia 1 or 2 yet? Definitely worth checking out.

Mafia was an amazing game. The Mafia 2 was just a so so game.

This is true, but the story was very good for a game.

Yes indeed. But again the story of Mafia is way better than the Mafia 2. The one from Mafia could easily be adapted to a film.

bazilisek: A bit of an odd choice, but Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. There's not much of it, considering it's a platformer, but what is there is delightfully written.
Definitely has one of my favorite game story endings ever. If there's one thing the movie should have taken from the games, it was the ending....

Gabriel Knight 1 had an awesome story. Haven't gotten around to playing the sequels yet though.

The Blackwell series actually makes me think of "Gabriel Knight Light".
