I've only bought Jagged Alliance. There were other interesting games, but either I already had them, or I can wait for a better sale. GG dicounts are usually too weak, so unfortunately these "better sales" usually happen somewhere else.

Whish they would change their sales model.
No sh*t. For a 5-year anniversary sale, I would have expected to pop $50 minimum. As it is, I think I went out only $20.
If you're an adventure gamer, there's a couple of items of interest:

Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine. Not really a great game, but with under 3 euros it's worth a try.

Culpa Innata. Story seems to revolve around themes of NWO and other classic conspiracy themes. It's in fact set in the future that is ruled NWO.

Dracula origin. Title says pretty much all. An horror adventure game telling the story of Dracula.

Nikopol. If you are familiar with Enki Bilals Nikopol Trilogy, you might like this. A Myst style adventure game with possibility of death.

Just my oppinion but I think the reason Steam sales are so good is the hard hitting nature of the daily sales as opposed to weeklong ones. They can offer the deals they can because they are only valid for one day, it keeps people checking every day as opposed to logging in on a Monday and saying 'meh'.
I bought a few weeks ago Alone in the Dark, don't know if it was during the anniversary sale though (even if it was on sale at that moment).

Also, I picked up Tomb Raider Underworld.

lowyhong: I bought King Kong (great game)
That's one I probably should have picked up in retrospect :/
Last one I got was World in Conflict - I believe it's made by the same team that made Ground Control II - plays very similar but with updated graphics. It also has single player skirmish via LAN and Bots.
Not really a sale, but Sword and Sorcery: Underground has made it to Gamersgate!!! \o/
I have got Disciples 1 and Shadowgrounds for free with Blue Coins, seem this GG sale is more quantity than quality. Even D2d has better deals than them, i will wait for Steam Spring Sale

Mentalepsy: New titles of note:

Disciples and Disciples 2 - I've only played the first one briefly, but it seemed pretty solid, and they have a strong reputation. For some reason, buying them separately appears to be cheaper than buying them together in the Platinum collection.

Elven Legacy Collection - great turn-based tactical fun, though not very forgiving. $9 gets you quite a lot of content here. Recommended.

King's Bounty Crossworlds - in case you've got Armored Princess, but not the expansion. I haven't played the expansion itself yet, but I'm sure it's lovely. Includes a level editor, though whether the community has actually made use of it or not, I don't know.

Stalker: Call of Pripyat (Loyalty Edition) - This requires you to have one of the other two Stalker games installed. I can confirm that it works with the Shadow retail box. Haven't played it yet, but Shadow was spiffy but Pripyat is supposedly better.

Sword of the Stars Complete - a great little stripped-down 4X focused mostly on combat and conquest. Very refreshing, if that's what you're looking for.
Call of Pripyat is miles better than the other two. You'll have a great time with it! =)

At least the good thing is you can get free games with them coins. :D
Yeah and if you have few coins left, Emergency 3 is really cheap and lot of fun.
The Red Faction: Guerilla page mentions "Other DRM". Did anyone buy it from Gamersgate ? What is the DRM ? I know that the game uses Games For Windows Live but I want to know if there is another DRM ?

Thanks,
Seb

There is. It requires online authentication to their server, though it's a one-time only thing.

It's Stardock's Goo. RF:G was one of the few games that used that DRM even on retail versions. It asks for your serial and e-mail when you install to activate your game, nothing more. GFWL is only needed if you want to have achievements and play on multiplayer, otherwise you can play with an offline profile.
