A lot of people going through GamersGate offers for the next four weeks are probably going to be asking themselves WTF is this?!

I thought we could start a list, here of what we've tried and give a thumbs up to.

Alpha Prime
Avancast
Battle Mages Sign of Darkness (think of the first Battle Mages as a crash course attempt at making this one)
Disciples II Gold (3 won't run on my system)
Europa Universalis 3 Complete
Fortix ($1 is the exact right price for that game - its good but free cell phone game good)
Lylian (good for the price)
Obulis
Warrior Kings Battles

I have some of the other ones but haven't had a chance to play them much so can't comment.

Will also say that Mount & Blade is awesome but you should aim for a copy with the Warband Expansion

and

Fantasy Wars is awesome but GG version has an limited activation limit.

If anyone wants me to emphasise on the ones that I've played I would be more than happy to do so.

Remember, if you run out of activations for any GG bought game, simply email them and they will give you more activations.

As for recommendations if you're "in" the US: Mirror's Edge and Crysis (only about 4 days in which to snap them up though).

Also: Culpa Innata

Mirror's Edge doesn't even show up on my end - they've completely hid it from my proxy shenanigans.

Guess you need a better proxy. I bought it yesterday (second time on GG) just to add it to the EADM and claim a Japanese language version for 413 yen (a saving of around 6887 yen [that's around 83 USD]).
The Thief games of course are excellent (though the first one will probably take some effort to get working), Obulis is pretty fun, and Mirror's Edge is decent for the sale price (but probably not something I'll play again).

I've played a bit of Cryostasis and it seems pretty good, but performance is poor. I'll probably just sit on it until the next time I upgrade my video card.

Shadowgrounds is fun, but Alien Shooter 2 is a lot better.

Stay away from Space Hack.

So what's up with this one? Nobody seems to like it, but it looks like some decent mindless fun from the video. I mean, it's only a dollar.
I would heartily recommend everyone interested in ARPG's pick up Avencast while it's on sale. I think it's worth $10, but for $2.50, you'll certainly get your money's worth.

I thought it wasn't half bad. Not going to be blowing any minds away here, but it's not a bad choice to whittle some time away. I've not finished the game yet though - I've played through half of the game twice, and always stopped playing at the same level. Real life seems to coincide whenever I reach that point.

FlatOut and FlatOut 2 are a must have. For around a pound each, one of the best racing games series. And DRM-free. :)

FlatOut Ultimate Carnage uses GfWL.

EDIT: I achieved Red status last night... Awesome!

Black, here I come! :p

Have someone ever played or at least heard of Call for Heroes Pompolic: Wars? It has no review or rating there.

Doesn't look good: http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/call-for-heroes-pompolic-wars
Wow, thanks, it looks terrible.
Thoughts on The Chosen: Well of Souls or Vigil: Blood Bitterness?

I tried the demo. It was awful. Controls were bad, combat was awkward, though I can't remember how, in specific detail...I don't think there was anything to like about it.

Never did get around to playing The Chosen (picked up on Impulse years ago) but it look interesting enough. Vigil on the other hand, not even worth $1. It might still have a demo kicking around, so if you can find it, try that first.
As bansama said, Culpa Innata. That game is so underrated that I could cry. Cryostasis is an ok game too.

But Culpa Innata definately. Oh, if one has seen Wargames (you know, the film), one puzzle is a treat for you :)
