Some of you may recall that I made a last month. Well, I've created a new game giveaway, this time for "The Last Remnant", which anyone with a Steam account can enter and win here: [url=http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/RYlrd/the-last-remnant]http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/RYlrd/the-last-remnant. The giveaway begins 17 February at 11:30 PM and ends at 20 February 11:30 AM.

As stated in the giveaway's description, "For those unfamiliar with the game, it's an epic, Japanese-style role-playing game with an anime/manga art-style set in a distinctive fantasy world".

Nice but 50 points? MW3 and Skyrim are 50 points :)
Well, actually Skyrim and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 are 60 points.

But, yeah, unfortunately Steam has never lowered its price of the game and, consequently, that's reflected in the points. That said, I was able to buy the game for approximately 1/3 of the price elsewhere.

That is awesome, thanks for sharing such a raffle!
I have not played the game, but the music is pretty damn good from what I remember (someone linked me to some songs years ago)

And the last remnant was released in 2009 too. Most other games would have gone down to ~$20 by now. JRPGs are way overpriced :/
Wow, wonderful! Now I'll remove all my entries and wait for enough point to enter this!

Don't blame Steam, it's AAAAAAAAAAAAALL Squeenix. The lowest this game has ever been sold for was probably 9.99.

The game tanked hard on the 360 so they have to make their money back somehow.
I'll enter, thanks for the giveaway.
A japanese game on PC with an absurd price point? No way man! Those don't exist.

I've seen it for $5 on steam. The PC version was released ~6 months after the 360 version. Gameplay was tweaked, performance is now good, and it includes all the DLC.

I had a lot of fun with it. If you like JRPGs it's worth a look. Just don't go in expecting Final Fantasy.

I heard it was sold for $5, once. But someone at Squeenix must really hate the PC because that game has been $50 for a very long time.

It must have really bombed. They never ended up porting it to the ps3. That means Squenix made a big budget JRPG that most of the japanese market never got a chance to play.

My guess is that they've all but abandoned it. :/

isn't this one of Squenix's UE3 titles?

you know that a title has to be low on a company's priorities list when they don't even use their own in house game engine (crystal tools), especially when said in house engine spanks the hell out of UE3.
I didn't know they did some work on it. I'm kind of itching for a JRPG since I haven't owned a console for a long time. Good luck everyone, and thanks OP.
The game is nice, but one must be prepared to spend a few hours before it actually gets interesting.

Also, it is necessary to use a guide to not miss any permamissables. The campaign is said to take around 60 to 100 hours, but I don't know it since I'm only like 23 hours in.
