We know you're busy people, but would you like to contribute to an even better GOG? How about taking 5 minutes of your time to make the GOG experience an outstanding one?

Our main goal when designing GOG.com was to create the best user experience in digital distribution ever. Many say we're doing it right, but we want to get even better, that's why we're launching a survey that will help us lead GOG in the way you'd like it to go. Taking part in it isn't required of course, but if you want to have your share in making GOG the best digital distribution service there is (or at least even better than it is right now) and maybe win a free game, devote few minutes of your time to answer couple questions we've prepared. From all users who will take part in the survey, we'll randomly choose 20 who will receive a free GOG game of their choice. Grab a pencil... er, a keyboards in your hands and answer the below questions for a better future for all of us :)

The survey ends on Thursday, October 27 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Done

But quite disappointed :

Last page, question about price for recent games .... they asked for price in usd ..... I replied 20~30 caps.

GoG losing its way ?
All done.

New games, old games, I don't care. Give the extra gewdies, take the DRM out and slap a good price on it and I'll buy it. I'd say this place is probably my primary place to buy games, so if you guys did that I'd have no reason to use any other service period.
Newer games (as in only a couple years old) with a flat price, no DRM and extras?
Can I get a hell yes!

And I could go for some day one releases as long as they are done similar manner to The Wither 2.
I was fine and dandy doing the survey, but. . .where's today's sale?

They only have them on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
I wouldn't mind newer games on occasion for a decent price and DRM free, but I'd still like the main focus to be the Good OLD Games.

Too many wonderful classics and not-so-classics still missing from the catalogue, while the newer games of 1-3 years of age tend to be shit for the most part.
Guys, I do not know why, I was not able to fill the survey on my Firefox 3.6.23.The Next button does not work.
I've had to use IE to submit my answers.

You're probably using some kind of script or ad blocker.
I am not opposed to GoG selling also newer games, even though I'd prefer them to work on a bit older releases. As long as they remember their basic principles and don't sell themselves to the "market forces" like e.g. Steam has done with their overlapping third-party DRMs, region-locking, region-based pricing etc.

Naturally, that will also mean that most publishers will not publish their newest games on GoG in the foreseeable future because they require those things, especially DRM. And I can understand that fully well. I would be fully contented if at least some of them keep releasing mostly few years old backlog games on GoG (hopefully Gold Editions with all the related expansion packs, DLC etc. included, if possible), without DRM and other related sh*t.

I was also wondering about the GoG client question. I wrote in the survey that I'd be ok with it (autopatching etc.), but then I'm not sure if that'd mean a Steam-like client that has to be run in order to run the games, ie. it is not only for downloading the games. Hopefully not, then I don't like the idea.

iadramelk: Commen about survey. My take on new DRM-free games is:

I'd like the idea and I'd like to have oppornity to buy them. But I'd prefer it on sister site and not on GOG itself. GOG with new games will be less clean and focused with them.
That is actually a very sensible point, Good Old Games cannot really sell recent games. When they added Two Worlds, it felt wrong somehow, even if I bought it because I wanted to check it out and will always buy on GOG when I can.
In my mind if GoG were to offer newer game titles the number of releases per week would have to increase in order to allow the new titles to come out without impeding against the re-releasing of older titles on the service.

As for newer titles in general I'd far rather that publishers got their titles onto GoG earlier rather than later - at some point all games become good old games so its in GoG's interest to get as many titles in as early as possible; that way you are preventing the inevitable ever growing backlog of games to be added to the service as time advances.

Actually, I like that idea more than just adding them here. Keep the concepts separate, but similar.

And NEVER. EVER. STORE CREDIT CARD INFO. EVER. Are you NUTS?
Just finished the survey. I'm not thrilled by the prospect of new(er) releases coming to GOG. My interest in them would depend highly on the costs and, naturally, the games themselves. For the most part, I would rather the efforts in obtaining those new games were instead spent or directed at obtaining some of the more elusive older games.
VIVA LA DRM REVOLUTION!!!!

Out of production games should always have a home here but it would be nice to show these big game publishers that DRM is ASS!! and needs to go away!
