As our catalogue gets bigger and better every week, it’s easy to lose track of some of the awesome games that we have to offer. Of course [url=http://www.gog.com/en/catalogue#all_genres/search/fallout/]Fallout, Baldur’s Gate, and some other of our most popular titles will always get a lot of attention, but GOG has many more classics to bring you. To help encourage you to explore the dustier reaches of GOG’s catalogue, we’re going to be offering a promo on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Think of it as a curated promo on some of GOG’s favorite titles that you may not have played. Whether we’re encouraging you to explore incredible new worlds or inviting you to see how a titanic series got its start, we think every game we’re going to be offering on our GOG Gem Promos will be an excellent title, and we hope you give them all a try.

The next wave of Lands of Lore 1+2 isn't your style, don't fret, we've got a great gaming gem from a completely different genre for you in today's GOG Gem Promo. Save 60% on Alien Shooter + Expansions today and get tons of aliens to pulverize, hours of brainless carnage, and a therapeutic way to blow off some steam for only $2.39!

Explore the endless corridors inside an secret underground military complex and plow your way through hordes of ravening aliens with the most advanced weapons money can buy. You need to get to the teleports used by the alien scum to advance on through the levels and save the world. Upgrade your character with biomechanical implants or buy even more and bigger guns so that those alien invaders will never know what hit 'em. ;)

Don't wait! The promo ends tomorrow, November 16 at 7:59AM EDT (that's 11:59AM GMT).
Ahhhh. Mindless Schlock. Just what I occasionally crave! Mind, I doubt it'll be as good as me old game for the occasion - Phobia II. One screen, constant streams of Aliens, and no ending except to die. Mind, that stopped working properly for me years ago...

Oh yes, I tried playing Phobia II again recently and as far as I remember it didn't work properly for me either. But for me, the most important part of Phobia II was always the music anyway, and I can still listen to that :)
NaaC, on the other hand, still runs well.
Oh right, I forgotten the time when we had aliens in every game. Compared to today's zombie games.
I got the complete pack from Gamersgate when they had it on sale for 99 cents a while back, so I'll be skipping this promo.

timppu: maybe get Shadowgrounds 2 to GoG as well?
Smells a lil' too new for me, but is it GOOD?
Not a bad little game. Alien Shooter 2 is better in just about every way, but AS1 is still a great timewaster.
GOG has the best version with both expansion packs. Instant buy for me. Thanks GOG.
I would grab it just to give it a shot at this price, but the budget is a bit tight at the moment.

Thanks for continuing these gem promos!
Just got it. Thanks GOG!

I think you meant "November 17" there, but no matter, I got another cool game on sale. Thanks GOG! :-)
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! I totally forgot about the gem promo. Stupid work/Skyrim messing with my life. ;P
I was gonna get this but then I realized Wednesday was gone. I guess that's what I get for playing Skyrim so much. xD

Oh well I'm sure there will be plenty of nice 60% off deals this Christmas, including this one. =D
That's why I like GOG gem promos - I picked up Alien Shooter yesterday and I've found it to be highly enjoyable.
The Magma-Minigun (best weapon in the game) ROCKS.

I've played through the first game (holy crap that was good!) and will give the next chapter a try after my tendons calm down a bit!
