Hehehe; I'll make a vote (see what I did there?!?) for it and see what the consensus is.

I for one would rather stick with the old style voting system (plugin).

---

Seeing as Valve integrated a map voting system in Team Fortress 2 we're now faced with the decision to migrate to it or stay with our old voting system for a little while longer.

The main disadvantages of the new system is that you can't nominate a map to be added to the voting list that appears at the end of a map; with the new system you can only start a vote to change to a specific map at the end of the vote or at the end of the map, but can't create a list of maps players could vote for (so it's just a yes/no vote instead of a multiple choice one).

The old system allows players to invoke a multiple-choice map vote (which means you get to chose which map to change to from a list, not just one map chosen by the one who started the vote) and also nominate maps for the end of map vote list.

So, with these in mind, cast your vote here for the new system (the one Valve just implemented) or the old one. Voting closes Monday night and the winning option is started on Tuesday.

The mapvote plugin is broken. It seems to ask you to vote at random times, even right after the map has changed. At one point it changed the map automatically, and then initiated a vote as soon as we go on to the next map.

OK, will look into it.
OK, I think I found the problem and fixed it. Will be on tonight to see how things work.

Game tonight at 8:30 GMT.
I'd like to join the group! I don't play TF2 too much, and I've been looking to play more of it. However, I may have to drop out fairly quickly because I haven't tested my new internet connection on online games, so it may be pretty crappy.

Here is my Steam page:http://steamcommunity.com/id/enterprise2008
Thanks!

Thanks! I'm not too worried by weird hours. I live in a college town so I'm used to be up at weird hours!
OK, so it seems the vote plugin still doesn't work properly and until that is fixed we'll be running the new vote system Valve implemented (see here for details on how to vote)
