Just a quick thought : Is the planned Steam downtime this evening going to interfere with things? Last I heard, it was going down for up to 3 hours as of about 7PM my time (mountain standard).
GG tonight.

Everything should be OK except the loadouts (new weapons) not working and the Steam Community being down.
Thanks to everyone who came to the housewarming party :)
Please add me...

Despite my 300ms ping (I guess Australia IS the arse end of the world), it was quite enjoyable playing with all of you.
Though I do miss the slickness of a 40-70ms ping.
OK, a small update: I've fixed all the bugs on the server which means that
(a) now the map doesn't change randomly in the middle of the game
(b) custom maps shouldn't pose problems at download (just be patient if not from EU) *
(c) vote for next map happens at the end of current map
(d) auto team balance with option to select preferred team
(e) votescramble
*you can download an archive with the custom maps from here; after you unzip maps.zip you have to unzip each .bzip archive and move the extracted .bsp file (the map) to your Steam\steamapps\<username>\team fortress 2\tf\maps folder. The maps are .bziped because that compresses them to about 50-60%.
Alternatively you can see the attached image which contains the name of the custom maps and download them from somewhere else like FPSBanana.
A nice tip which allows you to easily alt+tab out of the game: add the following line to the launch options of TF2 [should work with any source game - to get there right click TF2, properties, set launch options]
-novid -sw -noborder -w 1280 -h 800
replace 1280 and 800 with your desktop resolution (for example 1024x768) and now you can alt+tab in and out of the game fast.
----
We've got another game today (Friday), starting from 21:00 GMT (click for time in your local area).
