The big day is approaching and everyone is counting hours, minutes and seconds when the GOG staff members will appear in the spotlight! Believe us, we're all excited about this as well, but first things first. Let us give you some details, so everyone knows who, what, where and when.

Who? All of you, our dear users, are invited to watch the live streaming of the CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference.
What? The live streaming will include presentations by CD Projekt RED with their awesome game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and GOG.com revealing some cool stuff. Both presentations will be in English.
Where? You'll be able to watch both presentations on GOG.com. On Thursday we'll put up a news post with a live stream video window embedded in it for your convenience.
When? The live streaming of CD Projekt RED presentation will start on Thursday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST (that's 4:00 p.m. GMT - that's 9:00 a.m. Los Angeles time, 12:00 p.m. New York, 5:00 p.m. London time or 6:00 p.m. Warsaw time). GOG will hit the stage an hour later at 1:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. GMT).

You may also notice some teaser spots on the front page. These will change during the next three days, so feel free to speculate what's it all about :). See you on Thursday!
Again, I think the font used is the key to every one of these hints, which is why I'm also absolutely sure that KOTOR hasn't been implied at all. I must confess though, this one really, really makes me think of Diablo. Font, colour, text - all fits the bill.
Just realised the font is the same as Zork Nemesis - so perhaps it means nothing at all ....

Now that Velvetmeds reminded me of it, it could be this (and would be so awesome if it was):

In particular, the background of the latest hint looks a little like Kain's armor zoomed in.
The Punisher? He's always in an "underworld", and the "monsters" he faces fear him mightily.

But if we're talking about "monsters fearing the player" in a strictly "AI tells the monster to fear the player" sense, then I don't know.
Man, Bravo to GOG. I didn't think they'd get me nearly as excited as when they released the Infinity Engine games, but I am losing my mind.

Agetian: Hehe :)

Yep, I agree that speculation can be fun, it just feels weird when you expect something big (no matter what it is... and no matter if you expect anything particular - you know, just... something big...) and in the end it turns out to be mundane and regular.

Umm September 2010 was actually only one of the things to happen but actually it didn't anger me much, if at all... It made me curious but not exactly angry, especially given that I always keep the offline downloaded backups of all my GOG games, so I was good. :) However, the following video (the whole "spec ops infiltration" thing) made me feel pretty excited about the big things to come, although no super big things ever came since then for quite a while (and the Atari/Hasbro row was already long announced by then and only the worst of skeptics could have assumed that the 7th game in the Atari/Hasbro row was *not* going to be BG2 :)))), and then the whole 14-day countdown before the Christmas sale, promising a huge surprise which in the end came out to be the Christmas sale itself (which, once again, the majority of people totally expected, so it wasn't a surprise). :))) So yep... GOG likes to create the hype and agitation, but I sure wish it at least lived up to the level of hype they're building up.

Right now, for instance, all of us have reasons to believe again that it's going to be something big. You know, EA big or LA big or Eidos big or whatever else. Big. If it's going to be anything but big (no matter what it's going to be exactly), people are going to be disappointed again. :)))
Yeah disappointment can play into it....if you get disappointed whenever things fall apart that is. Me? I tend to wish for the best but plan for the worst, so I tend to come out all right usually.

As for the Christmas/Advent Calandar Countdown thing, from minute one it seemed meh to me, so I didn't pay it much mind. I just thought it prettied up the front page and that's about it. I did like the sales though.

haydenaurion: The background of the "What game made monsters fear you?" hint looks like the cover of this game too: http://www.mobygames.com/game/abomination
The background doesn't matter. It's the same darkish blob on a different colored background as one of the previous hints.

That certainly seems like Dungeon Keeper.

There has to be something with outlaws and a western theme that goes with EA.
Monsters fearing you automatically made me think of Dungeon Keeper as others have said, and for some reason Quake.

Collie: and for some reason Quake.
I never thought of id, now Bethesda. I wonder if their catalog matches any others.
I think this talk about "how dare they hype us" is hilarious. I keep thinking if it wasn't for GOG we wouldn't have access to so many of these classic games we loved in youth. So what if they release some so so games, they can do what they want, it is their bussiness, and they aren't hyping it really, it's sort of an easter egg hunt with the questions, its the speculation that is hyping it out of proportion. It doesn't really matter to me what it's going to be, because I know that if they keep getting attention and sales then they will keep adding great games I did love to their catalouge as time goes by. So like I said yesterday, if its Rocket Bowl, I may get a sour stomach, but, I don't really care, I've already got so many of my favorite games from the past I won't besmirch GOG they're marketing. Thanks Guys!
Could 'Ride with Outlaws' be Road Rash?

snap-d: Could 'Ride with Outlaws' be Road Rash?
The wording fits but the image supposedly was western. I personally don't remember and we can't see it anymore.

If it was just brown, not western, then yeah... Road Rash would be my guess.
The typeface suggested Western - but as the typeface for the latest clue is the same as Zork Nemesis - suggesting it might just be ... a typeface and nothing else.

I really can't think of a LucasArts game where Monsters Feared You ??

First thing I thought of was Nightmare Creatures: http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/nightmare-creatures It's probably not that, but I'd be pumped if it was. Cheesy game, but I loved it.
The font from todays' ("...monsters fear you") is the same as Zork and, while not the same as Diablo 2's, it's also the same that's used in D2's Official Guide -see here-
