It’s a holiday tradition! We’ve decorated a Christmas Tree in the GOG.com office. Random people are running around in holiday hats and singing along the winners of the Holiday Songs Contest.

We think that our website deserves some holiday touch of its own and we will deliver that! During our 50% off Xmas Sale we already had four big publishers join forces with us. EA helped us with the the EA Crossword Puzzle, Interplay in the Interplay Caption Contest, thanks to Activision for the Activision Holiday Song Contest and last but not least Ubisoft motivated you guys to write some Ubisoft themed New Year’s Eve Resolutions.

So it’s finally time for the Third Annual GOG.com Screenshot Scavenger Hunt to start! Here are the rules: From now until Friday the 30th of December 2011 we’re going to have some Holiday themed screenshots up on our website for you to find. ;) They will be hidden in our game cards, surrounded by all of the regular screenshots. The trick is (as you can see below) that some of them will be “spiced up” with some holiday themed devices:

When you find a holiday themed screenshot (there are 20 of them in total), be sure to write down the name of the game. When you’ve got them all, list them all in an email to "contest@gog.com" with the subject line being "GOG.com 2011 Scavenger Screenshot Hunt". From every valid application we will pick 10 winners who got all the games right and gift them two games from the entire catalogue (excluding The Witcher 2). The contest ends on Friday December 30th 2011 11:59 GMT

I found 19, plus one with a snowman. I hope the snowman picture is one of the modified pictures. Because I'll not check all screenshots again >.<

This contest isn't funny, it's hard work!
I found 17 went thought all games, bought 10, can some one please help me track down the last 3 through pm.
Whew! I found them all in one pass. Of course I broke it up over 5 separate sessions to keep my mind from turning to jelly. I was getting worried for a little bit because I had 19 "definite" and a solid "maybe." Every screen shot that didn't have something made me worry about that "maybe"!

I also found a few games that I'll be adding to my wishlist after seeing some of the screenshots. Very clever GOG!
The whole point of this contest was to supply our community with a fun thing to do in the holiday season.
What the fracking heck?

THIS IS NOT FUN. I MEAN THAT OBJECTIVELY.

Pressuring your "community" to WASTE HOURS OF HOLIDAY TIME FILING THROUGH HUNDREDS OF SCREENSHOTS is downright DISRESPECTFUL.

I cannot comprehend why you are doing this AGAIN. Start a poll if you don't believe me.

Now, where's that "vulnerability" ? [EDIT: All taken care of, to be clear.]

If the snowman is the one I think you are talking about, then no, it is not one of the modified pictures. It is actually part of the game (it was there during the last screenshot constest, and it was one of the one's I picked, only to find out later (while playing the game) that it's a part of the game.).

Galimatias: Well the "vulnerability" and "exploit" detailed by some users here isn't a vulnerability or exploit of the GOG.com website per se. We think that way of obtaining the list of the festive screenshots is just cheating. The whole point of this contest was to supply our community with a fun thing to do in the holiday season.

We assure you that GOG.com website is secure and the detailed issue here isn't a vulnerability or exploit by all means.
It's not vulnerability of website. It's vulnerability of contest.
Personally I think that your tech staff are very lazy guys ;) "touch" and "exif" utils doesn't take a rocket scientist, right?

DONE! DONE! Hahahahahah....never felt so happy for such a (relatively) insignificant achievement.

I also had a couple of maybes, but going through this thread somewhat helped with that. Still, in the end I had to choose between one of two maybes that were left over...hope I got the right one. Most of the insertions were pretty obvious, but quite a few were fairly well integrated into the images!
Two nights, got all in one go, not that bad......
(I seriously dont want to go through the whole catalog a second time.......)
Nope, not going to do it, I remember the time it took me previous years to do this and I had to go through every game a few times due to things I missed. As the game catalog gets bigger this always takes longer.

Good luck folks, well those that aren't cheating so it seems.

Anyway there is only one game left on my wishlist, I'd rather save the time and just buy it. Time is precious, sanity is even more so :)
I've also found 19 plus one with a snowman which I think is just part of the game. I don't have enough bandwidth to load all of those screenshots again, so I might just send it in anyway :/
Got 3 so far. :) Don't know if I'll continue.

There is one screenshot with a snowman which has been added by the GOG team. Once you see it you can definitly tell it's hand drawn, but the colors are not popping out of the screen so it's a bit hard to notice it if you skip the picture too fast. If you have not found this one, scan from Z to A again ;)

Thanks for the tip, but I really can't load all of those images again. I've only got 1 gig of internet left that has to last till the 13th. Anyway, I've sent my (probably wrong) list in, just so I don't feel like I've completely wasted 2 hours :P Good luck to everyone :)
I've went through the entire catalogue and I've found just 14 :( I'm sad because I don't have more time to search for these screenshots.

If you really wanted to "supply our community with a fun thing to do in the holiday season", I suggest you that next time you will just mark 20 screenshots with big "stamp" (see file). Like this it will achieve both your goals:
1. create fun games for our community
2. introduce whole catalogue to all GOG fans - Yes, this really works, because during my searching I found interesting games what I didn't know that you offer them - I added like 6 games in cart, but until now I didnt buy them because I don't have mood for shopping due to my sadness:-).
