They told me they are heading to release it this year, but release date isn't set yet.

SLP2000: I just had this thought that in 18 years we'll get Indie games in style of Baldur's Gate. I can't wait.
Depending on how you want to qualify "Balder's Gate clone", we get that now, at least through Spiderweb (possibly more outfits as well). Of course, their games cost more than the actual BG's here on GOG, but they're there.
Another classic fantasy? Come on! It is not that hard!
I can see Devil Whiskey and Undercroft grinning mysteriously.
Ooooooh!!!

I really miss Infinity Engine.
A dungeon-crawl with tile-based movement...is it too much to hope it features turn-based combat as well? Or at least the OPTION for turn-based combat?

Ow I totally haven't thought of that, if the game will also have turn-based fights it would be fan-tas-tic!

Nice! I knew about Undercroft, but not Devil Whiskey. What's better is, they're selling it retail too! Gotta get my hands on that, looks good (and RPGWatch approves).

Bloody, this game looks great!

Real-time combat, presumably similar to Dungeon Master or Eye of the Beholder.

Drat. I just can't keep track of an entire party in real-time combat. I like giving all the orders.

shane-o: The movement is grid-based :D An excerpt from their webpage:
Excellent! The reason I like this is because I often get simulator/motion sickness with normal 3D movement. So grid/tile-based is good for me.

I like how simple it looks. I recently completed Lands of Lore, and it really surprised and pleased me by being a very simple game in many ways, but also very enjoyable due to genuinely interesting level design and a lot of cool content. The result was very addictive and enjoyable.

(I'm actually convinced that if Lands of Lore had been released today, hardcore RPG-fans would have called it dumbed down and oversimplified for the masses, but since it came out in the early nineties it's considered a classic instead)

Anyway, it looks like this game is headed in the same direction, and I can't wait to see how it turns out. It does help that the screens are awesome and really atmospheric. I hope they have a good sound man too.
