Gonchi: Could someone explain the Yatagarasu situation for one that hasn't been following the campaign. Is the Yatagarasu on Indiegogo an expansion, a sequel...? Is the Groupees version an Alpha/Beta/Demo?
The Groupees version is a normal game (not Alpha/Beta/Demo) from 2011. The game on Indiegogo - Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm will be a brand new version of Yatagarasu with all-new new characters and many new features, and which will be fully localized into English for gamers around the world.

RaggieRags: I always thought that when the game is set in japan, it's very awkward when the American voice actors try to pronounce names.
So should a game/anime made by the japanese that takes place that speaks english (America, UK, Australia) us english language?

Garugo: some games (like the "Tales of..." series) have really enjoyable English VO and I'm absolutely fine with them. Games like Samurai/Dynasty/Orochi Warriors, however, are just missing something with English voice acting.
Maybe that's because the story in the Tales series is rather important, so they spend more on the voice acting while in Dynasty Warriors the story is really not that big of a focus so they just do the bare minimum. Or at least, I never cared about the story in Dynasty Warriors, I just skipped it. I tried watching a few cutscenes and it was just horrible.






On topic. How's Cherry Tree High Comedy Club and War of the Human Tanks?

The video for Cherry kinda reminded me of Persona with how you do something and get a skill level up. Minus the JRPG part. Is it suppose to be a funny game or is the name misleading? The few jokes in the trailer were kinda bad.
And what's with the MC's hair? Does it annoying anyone else, or is it just me? I could probably get over it quick though.

War of the Human Tanks, I don't really know what to think of it. Some type of tactics game with a weird fog of war.

AzureKite: Seems more lika a prejudice (?). Not every english VO is poor.
It's not about quality for me, it's about wanting to hear the original performance. I can hear the emotional content of the original performance and get the meaning from subtitles. No matter how good a dub is, it's not the original performance as intended by the creators.

Yeah, that's basically what the game is like. They could probably rename the game to "Persona: Social Link Saga." I don't think it's supposed to be a comedy though. It's more like a cheery friendmaking simulator.

Okay. Cool. Is the game really simple or can you screw up? I noticed she wants to get people to join her club, is it possible to mess up and have it so someone is never willing to join your club?

And is it time based or what?

I don't argue that most of the times original VO is better, but even that kind of VO can be total crap. It's just difficult to tell, when the language is not native. Maybe that's why I even appreciate the absence of VO in some visual novels. Leaves some space for imagination and doesn't give the standard set of cliched voiced characters. Who knows.

You hit the nail on the head. Sometimes I suspect that the voice acting is bad and I just can't tell, but ignorance is bliss!

They probably changed their mind after seeing people change their vote on greenlight for the game, and after seeing so many complaints about it.
