Siannah: But there comes a point, where you either live by your claims and move on or keep our trap shut.
And just perhaps, he was waiting for the first set of sales to see if GOG would redeem themselves in his eyes. As you say, there comes a point. And this was his point. So instead of telling someone who has a different point of view to yours to "keep their trap shut" why not just leave the thread and move on.

Constantly responding to this thread is only proving one thing. You haven't moved on.

It's time to let it go, bansama. Misunderstandings can occur with anybody. They thought they were entertaining us (and also promoting the site). They did not realize that they were inconveniencing us. All of us thought they were deliberately inconveniencing us for cheap publicity.Of course, it was a dumb move, and I also gave them hell for doing it, because I felt betrayed for having defended them. But it was a misunderstanding.

Once a person clarifies his intent and apologizes, and does everything else he can do to make it right, it's not cool to keep throwing it in his face. I suspect that some of these people are just trolling for fun. Let's not let them break apart the community. As someone who tried to preserve the community when the GOG forums went down, I'm sure you understand.

And I stand by my point. If you genuinely feel it's time to let it go, don't respond to these threads. I personally, will continue to respond to threads in which I have something to say. That is, after all, the entire point of a forum.

No. I don't agree. I'm one of those that could shake my shoulders at it and move on. I'm not mad. BUT, I don't forget. GOG have lost my trust.

To me it seems that they are floundering and making a bad situation worse for those that did get mad. This affair is just a clumsy mess and that is worse. It have made me lose my belief in GOGs competence.
Sure they're good at getting wonderful games here but PR and knowing what to do when something go wrong (Nothing is foolproof and things will go wrong sometimes.) is equally important regarding getting customers.
If they did as Bansama advice I for one would be a long way on getting my trust and belief in their competence back. It's just a smart move.

Now if someone like Bansama give advice in a constructive and resonable way to GOG that correspond to a lot of the offended members views it is not a bad thing.

I know I said it's time to move on but hey, I couldn't help myself from responding to this.
He'll be back.
Only one place that sells these games so cheap via DD, and that's GOG.

You're wrong it seems to me. He had his point. 5 days ago in fact. He already offered his "customer feedback" only to come back now, offering some more and pointing out that he has no interest in doing business here.
If he doesn't have any interest in doing business here, 5 days after his initial feedback, why he'll continue to hang around?
Now, somebody please remind me, what's the definition of trolling again?

I highly doubt ANY form of apologies would be enough for this fella. If there would be, he could have state what he expected. So it just seems that he's feeding his own nerd-rage.

bcshelton72 or Bansama? bcshelton72 you're right about. He's a troll, craving attention or a newbie to forums.

I'm talking about old GOG grognards here. :)

I have to disagree a bit there. People don't have quotas they're assigned that dictate what they can and cannot talk about. Nothing says he can't stick around and complain. That comes with the whole "community that talks about things" territory. Maybe he likes to read the forums, but he's not buying anymore. Maybe he is buying, and he's still unhappy.

It doesn't matter. If you don't like what someone's saying, you can't insist they silence themselves outright with any proper justification. If that was the case, then I think we'd see a lot fewer threads in these parts on a number of topics.
@Tarm
Bansama did point out what he expected. So I couldn't have meant him.

No there's no quota and yes I have no right to dictate anyone. On the same page I have every right and reason to complain about constant complaining that doesn't bring anyone or anything further, if I'd like to do so.

And my justification is their claims. If one claims to have "no business here anymore" but keeps coming around, pointing out their views again and again, I get fed up. So I'm calling them out, asking them to let action follow their words. If they don't, they'll just try shoving their point of view down my throat.

People wouldn't be telling them to stop if they weren't continuously creating new threads on the same old topic, when there's even a thread dedicated to the topic sticked at the top of the forum. It's pretty inconsiderate to the rest of the users. Of course, that's the goal of a troll like bcshelton72.
