GoJays2025: Troll 2

It's the best worst movie I've ever seen. I seriously recommend this one to all of you who enjoy watching bad movies, you'll have a blast! There aren't even any trolls or any mention of trolls in it - it's about vegetarian goblins who turn people into plants before eating them.

I second this. It's a really great movie. The documentary of it called "Best Worst Movie" is also worth checking out as it's just as charming and funny as the actual film.
I actually liked Johnny Mnemonic because is had a lot of inspiration from Shadowrun.

Another +1 good sir!

Streets of Fire is one of my fav little cult movies. Rock music, sledgehammer fights, 80s meets 50s setting and a very hot Diane Lane.

Barbarella - the it's so bad its good sci-fi film.

The soundtrack is so awesome in this movie, so in addition to the dvd I bought the soundtrackI bought it on Vinyl.

60's beach movie and slasher parody based on the musical Psycho Beach Party. That's a great cult classic right there.

I haven't watched this one but I really want to watch Incubus starring willing Shatner. They all talk in Esperanto in the movie and a fun wait change disturbing fact about the movie is that several actors had untimely deaths after filming was wrapped up.

While we're at it, the Leprechaun was pretty good in its awfulness. Plus it scared the crap out of Garth. I totally didn't get that part of Wayne's World until I saw the movie.
Brazil and Cube spring to mind.

Hell yeah! That was cinema before it completely lost the plot and stagnated.

You mean the rendition in the movie, right? Johnny Mnemonic itself predated Shadowrun by a nearly a decade, having first been published in 1981.

But, the whole thing was really slick, once I recognized that the acting was purposefully bad by normal standards. The lack of humanity in all the characters worked really well given the world in which the action takes place.

Yes it was the style of the movie. It was very Shadowrun. I know the book was out long before Shadowrun but the style of the movie seemed to fit Shadowrun's setting.
