Rayman 3: Had my eye on this for awhile, played the PS2 version years ago as a boy, paying full price for it. Loved every minute of it and comapred to the usual high budget fare on the pc, a breath of fresh air. I am disappointed that's its a UBI published game, after swearing off their games due to recent DRM, but it's on sale for next to nothing, and GoG gets a share of the money, that I can live with.
Tropico- Had a blast with the little time I had with 3, but since it can't run on my old laptop, the one I use more then my rig, so I'm using this as a substitute. I also need a break for 'traditional' management/RTS type games, so this fits the bill.
Gangland- I find this game to be a pretty unique blend of themes and styles. Tried it years ago and liked it straight off the bat.
Oddworld Strangers Wrath- Despite the buggy nature of the game, it still looks to be a fresh experience and a well written one. I always liked the Oddworld sense of humour and this game seems to be lacking in none of it.
Alone In the Dark: The New Nightmare- I recently played a series of Sam and Max, which I liked but felt the whole point and click felt a little too slow and not enough involving. This, however, has adventure style and (possibly) a better atmosphere. Plus a little more action.
No more games for me, the last year I played involving long, epic games and tbh, I am gettting tired of such experiences (Skyrim or no Skyrim, I just can't be arsed with another alternate life), so this year will be focused on shorter, quality experiences whilst having ample time to focus on real life. :)
