ExecB5: i'm downloading 59.2GB right now at 100kB/s
it's gonna be a long week... I'll have to run my life for it to finish

GameRager: 59 GB?!? For what???

That's one big file, if I do say so myself.
harry potter 1 to 6 in 1080p for my cousin, I personally only liked the last movie.
Go out an fight crime on the streets like Phoenix Jones. When you return, it might be done downloading.

79% done.....I have eaten already and started counting things.......

Coelocanth: Extrapolating from the speed of 1/4 of the DL (38 mins), you're looking at a grand total of just over 2.5 hours to complete it. That's not enough time to make a sandwich? o_O

Anyway, I usually do some of the things around the house that need to be done (dishes, laundry, cleaning, etc.) when I'm waiting for a big DL to complete.

GameRager: I meant it's more than the time needed to make a sandwich and come back to find it completed......and also would require not enough time to justify long periods of sleep.
Long periods of sleep are overrated. Naps are awesome! If that had 2 and a half hours to kill I would totally be napping right now (though going to bed last night at 4am might have something to do with it).
What are you downloadin GR, when i got borferlands from steam i had to do it over a week and a half, 12.8 gb iirc though a part of that was my stupid isp changing the playin field

I don't usually buy games that I'm that excited to play immediately, so the wait isn't so bad. Typically I'll either download overnight, or just start the download and go about doing whatever I was doing before.

I just got back from having five-hour 100k maintenance done on my car, though. That was much less convenient.
One fun thing to do while waiting something is to check out what different words mean in different languages.

For example, try to find out what Orkut means in finnish :D
(Bit of a slang word, but funny nevertheless)

I imagine some might be so inclined when TW2 comes out in a short while.

Leave it overnight on a weekday, check in the morning. If not done, leave for work, which will take 9 extra hours + travel time. It's usually done by then.
Well, my download finished, and I copied the installer files so I could have a backup. Time to play TW1 soon, hopefully on Win7 and with not much installed on this partition the game will load and play at a nice framerate. (Vista side of my system is bogged down with crap and loads not as fast as it used to, even with some tweaking.....and TW1 ran at 15-22 FPS on it in many areas.)
